*Technology will facilitate monitoring and enable prompt resolution of any irregularities: CM Atishi
New Delhi-09.11.24-The AAP-led Delhi Government will ensure effective and transparent water supply and sewer cleaning in the capital through GPS monitoring. CM Atishi issued directions to make the Delhi Jal Board's GPS monitoring portal live, on Saturday.
Through this portal, water tankers and Sewer Cleaning Machines (SCM) will be tracked via GPS. With real-time monitoring on the portal, officials will be able to ensure that water tankers reach their designated locations on time and keep a close watch on the activities of sewer cleaning machines. This monitoring will enable timely service delivery to the public by promptly addressing any gaps in the system.
Chief Minister Atishi stated, "The Delhi Government is committed to providing better facilities for the people of the city. The use of GPS technology to monitor water tankers and sewer cleaning machines is a vital step towards increasing transparency and accountability. This system will ensure that all tankers and sewer cleaning machines stay on their designated routes and deliver essential services on time."
She further noted, "The launch of the live GPS monitoring portal is a major milestone in this direction. This portal will not only make it easier to monitor services but also allow us to address any irregularities swiftly."
It is noteworthy that all Delhi Jal Board officials have been instructed to ensure proper maintenance of GPS devices in all water tankers and sewer cleaning machines. A technical executive will be appointed in every circle to address any technical issues related to the GPS monitoring system, ensuring its smooth functioning.

*BJP's conspiracies won't stop us; Under Arvind Kejriwal’s guidance, will address every issue faced by people of Delhi: CM Atishi
NEW DELHI- 09.11.24-Living up to the promise of Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP Government has approved the reinstatement of 10,000 Civil Defence Volunteers and Bus Marshals in Delhi. These Volunteers & Marshals will be deployed within a week to join the fight against pollution.
Sharing this information in a press conference on Saturday, CM Atishi stated, "The Delhi Government has approved the appointment of these 10,000 marshals, who will play a significant role in the battle against pollution over the next four months."
CM Atishi added, “Bus marshals will be crucial in monitoring pollution hotspots, preventing open burning, and following up on complaints.”
She stated, “The appointment process for bus marshals will start on Monday, and the Delhi Government will soon send a proposal for their permanent appointment to the Lieutenant Governor. No matter how many plots the BJP devises, under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal, we will resolve every problem faced by the people of Delhi.”
She highlighted that in 2017-18, the Delhi Government deployed bus marshals to enhance women’s safety in buses, ensuring protection for women, children, and the elderly travelling on DTC buses.
She further remarked, “The impact of these bus marshals has been evident. They have prevented incidents of harassment against women, thwarted kidnapping attempts, and provided assistance to the elderly.”
“However, the BJP was displeased with the safety of women, children, and the elderly, and with 10,000 youth from low-income families finding work as marshals. Consequently, the BJP conspired through its officials to halt the salaries of these marshals from April 2023,” CM Atishi stated.
She continued, “Despite repeated directives from Delhi’s ministers and CM Arvind Kejriwal to disburse the salaries, the BJP blocked it. In October 2023, they further ensured that these 10,000 bus marshals and civil defence volunteers lost their jobs.”
“This left women on buses feeling insecure and rendered over 10,000 young individuals unemployed. Arvind Kejriwal made it a point to reinstate these marshals, determined to restore their jobs regardless of the challenges,” she added.
“For over a year, bus marshals and civil defence volunteers have been protesting on the streets, and the Delhi Government, its ministers, and Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have stood by them. From street protests to facing police brutality and arrests, AAP MLAs and ministers have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the marshals in their fight,” CM Atishi noted.
She added that, “Ultimately, this struggle forced the BJP to relent and agree to the reappointment of bus marshals.”
Sharing good news for bus marshals, CM Atishi announced, “In the coming days, the Delhi Government will send a proposal for their permanent appointment to the Lieutenant Governor. Until then, they will be deployed for pollution control efforts until February.”
"Today, the Delhi Government has passed a proposal to re-engage over 10,000 bus marshals and civil defence volunteers dismissed by the BJP in October, assigning them to pollution control duties over the next four months," she said.
Their responsibilities will include monitoring pollution control centres and hotspots, preventing open burning, managing construction waste to curb dust, stopping the illegal use of diesel generators, and following up on complaints received on the Green Delhi app.
“For the next four months, bus marshals and civil defence volunteers will contribute to the fight against pollution. Call-out notices for the marshals will be issued from Monday, and they can proceed to register at different DM offices. Deployment for pollution control efforts will follow within 2-3 days of registration,” CM Atishi explained.
“This decision to re-engage bus marshals for four months proves that no matter how hard the BJP tries to obstruct the Delhi Government’s work, the people of Delhi ultimately prevail, and under Arvind Kejriwal’s guidance, the Delhi Government continues to work for them. Every stalled project will be completed in the same manner,” CM Atishi declared.

*Delhi has become gangster-capital because of Union Home Minister & LG: Saurabh Bharadwaj*
*People are being openly shot, murders are happening, yet BJP-led central government, Home Minister, LG remain silent despite being responsible for Delhi’s law and order: Saurabh Bharadwaj*
*Traders in Delhi living in fear; being forced to pay extortion: Saurabh Bharadwaj*
*Did Delhiites elect BJP across all seven seats to witness such lawlessness?: Saurabh Bharadwaj*
NEW DELHI-09.11.24-Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Saturday said that the national capital was turning into a “gangster-capital” under the watch of the BJP-led central government. Condemning the alarming rise in violent crime and lawlessness in Delhi, he attributed the recent surge in crime to a failure by Union Home Minister and Lieutenant Governor (LG) in fulfilling their responsibilities for maintaining Delhi’s law and order.
In a press conference, Saurabh Bharadwaj voiced his deep concern over Delhi’s alarming slide into lawlessness, stating, “For months, the national capital has been plagued by gang violence.” He continued, “Just a few days ago, on the 5th of this month, news broke of gangster attacks in two parts of the city. In Nangloi, a Rs 10 crore extortion demand was made after gangsters attacked a plywood showroom. That same day, a fire broke out above a gas godown in Alipur, where extortion was also demanded.”
He highlighted how such incidents for extortion have now become routine, drawing attention to a recent attack in northeast Delhi’s Welcome Colony. “Last night, three miscreants on motorcycles opened fire indiscriminately, killing one person and injuring another. Can it be imagined that the capital of our country, where international guests visit, where crucial decisions are made, where the Supreme Court, Parliament, PMO and RBI are located, could face such lawlessness?”
Expressing his disappointment with the central government’s silence, Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “What’s shocking is that the central government, responsible for Delhi’s deteriorating law and order, has not issued a single statement in recent months. There’s been no response from the Home Minister, the BJP-led central government, or the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. It’s as if they feel no accountability toward Delhiites.”
The Minister further criticised this lack of accountability, remarking, “The people of Delhi elect them with their votes, yet the BJP-led central government, and the LG act as if they have no responsibility.” He stressed, “not a single statement from them has acknowledged the situation or outlined steps for improvement. This is a very serious and worrying issue,” noting that Delhi’s residents and business owners now live in constant fear.
