A case FIR No. 12 U/S 406, 420, 120B IPC has been registered at Police Station Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) on the complaint of Paras Anand, resident of Dhakoli, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab, against Harsh Batta, Shivani Batta, and Yogesh Batta for cheating on pretext of financial fraud.
Theft
A case FIR No. 131 U/S 305, 331(2), 331(4) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 26 on the complaint of Joginder Singla, Proprietor of Shri Balaji Dry Fruit Store, SCO No. 163, Grain Market, Sector 26, Chandigarh, who reported that unknown individuals broke into the store on the night of 29/30 November, stealing dry fruits. The theft occurred between 10 PM and 2 AM.
A case FIR No. 194 U/S 303(2), 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 34 on the complaint of Nazar Singh, resident of Sector 44B, Chandigarh, regarding theft of ₹5,00,000 and an Activa scooter by his son Karandeep Singh on 29 November 2024 around 5:30 PM.
Accident
A case FIR No. 133 U/S 281, 125(a) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra on the complaint of Pritpal, resident Sector 46C, Chandigarh, who reported a hit-and-run accident involving a Wagon R car (CH01BR0410) at 8:15 PM near NAC, Mani Majra. The driver fled the scene.
Four Booked Under Arms Act
Police Station Maloya has registered four cases under FIR Nos. 95, 96, 97, and 98 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act. The accused, identified as Himanshu (S/O Jatinder), Prince (S/O Bittu), Ashudeep (S/O Bhola), and Himanshu (S/O Sushil Kumar), were arrested from various locations in Chandigarh for possession of knives
