Chandigarh, December 1 – Haryana Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday celebrated Maharaja Shoor Saini Jayanti with great grandeur in Kaithal district. The programme was part of the state government’s plan of celebrating anniversaries of saints and great men under the Sant-Mahapurush Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana. The scheme aims to propagate the teachings and messages of saints and great personalities to the masses.

Paying tribute to Maharaja Shoor Saini, the Chief Minister said that the double-engine government has been consistently working for the development of all sections of society in the state, aiming to make Haryana ‘Shikshit, Swasth, Surakshit aur Swavalambi’ (Educated, Healthy, Safe, and Self-reliant) by following the path shown by the great leader. Also, while following the path shown by these great men and saints, the state government is continually taking steps for the welfare and upliftment of all sections with the spirit of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

The Chief Minister said that Maharaja Shoor Saini Ji was a very valiant and virtuous king. Everyone in his kingdom enjoyed equal rights. The region around Mathura was named Shoor Saini Pradesh after him. The history of the Saini community is ancient and glorious, he said.

*Scholarship for OBC and SC students studying in government colleges across the country, CM*

The Chief Minister said that the state government has pledged to provide scholarships to students of Haryana belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Scheduled Castes (SC), who are pursuing medical and engineering education in any government college across India. To fulfill this commitment, a portal will be launched in the academic session 2025-26 to grant full scholarships to all SC and OBC students. Through this portal, these students can register themselves if they are studying in any government medical or engineering college in the country, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

He said that the government has also given 27 percent reservation to backward classes in educational institutions and jobs. Furthermore, children of families with an annual income of up to Rs. 3 lakhs are eligible for loans up to Rs. 15 lakhs for pursuing education in India and Rs. 20 lakhs for studies abroad at an annual interest rate of 4 percent .

*Empowerment of the poor and unprivileged is the key to Development, CM*

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the government is progressing with the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas-Sabka Prayas.’ The welfare and upliftment of the poor remain their core commitment. Empowering the underprivileged is true social justice. In this direction, the present state government has increased the income limit for the creamy layer of backward classes from Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh annually. Reservation has been provided to Backward Class-B in Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies, with 5 percent reservation for the sarpanch post and 50 percent reservation for other posts based on population.

*Target to make 5 lakh women Lakhpati Didis*

The Chief Minister said that the government aims to make 5 lakh women Lakhpati Didis’ (women earning over Rs. 1 lakh annually). So far, 1.5 lakh women have achieved this status. Under the Drone Didi Scheme, 5,000 women from 500 self-help groups will receive free drone pilot training. So far, 100 women have been trained, and drones have been provided to them free of cost. Besides this, 15 lakh Happy Cards have been issued to underprivileged families, with 5 lakh more to be issued by December 15.

On this occasion, the Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare, and Antyodaya (SEWA) Minister, Sh. He said that Haryana has once again, for the third time, formed an honest government with the blessings of the people, where youths are getting government jobs without any corruption or favoritism.

The Minister said that the recently held Vidhan Sabha session, Congress leader, Bhupinder Hooda has made tall claims that the recent election results are not a victory of democracy, but of machinery and system. I would once again say that Bhupinder Hooda should understand that the victory of the BJP government for the third time in Haryana is a victory of the hardworking farmers and laborers.

Chandigarh, December 1 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini while taking a jibe at the Opposition said that prior to 2014, regionalism and nepotism dominated the state's development. Over the past 10 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the BJP government has eradicated these practices and focused on the welfare of all sections of society and the equitable development of all regions, he said.

The public has trusted our government’s policies, and as a result, for the first time in Haryana’s history, a party has formed the government for the third consecutive time, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini while addressing the state-level programme organized on the occasion of Maharaja Shoor Saini Jayanti in Kaithal on sunday.

The Chief Minister said that with the blessings of the people and such a massive mandate, our government has been given the opportunity to serve the people, and with their support, we will take Haryana forward on the path of rapid development. He said that following the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,’ the state government will ensure the equitable welfare of all 36 communities.

*Congress should stop spreading lies about EVM, CM*

The Chief Minister said that the opposition leaders are continuously raising questions about EVMs. He advised Congress leaders to look into their own actions to understand who is wrong. He said that Congress is merely spreading falsehoods and creating confusion among the people. While Congress managed to seize power in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana through lies, their governments did not benefit anyone, and the truth behind their lies has been exposed, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

While reacting to the opposition's statements regarding EVM, the Chief Minister said that the issue is not with the malfunctioning of EVMs, but the Congress is finding it difficult to accept that the people have given their blessings to the BJP and strengthened Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's leadership. He said that his government has fulfilled all its promises.

*Three new laws passed for farmers' welfare in the first Assembly Session, CM*

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the government passed three new farmer-friendly laws in the very first session after assuming office. The Haryana Lease of Agricultural Land Act,2024 was enacted to build trust between lessee farmers and landowners. Besides this, farmers who have been cultivating shamlat (common) land for over 20 years have been granted ownership rights. People residing in houses built on 500 square yards of land in villages for more than 20 years were also granted ownership rights, informed the Chief Minister.

He said that in its third term, the present state government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing merit-based employment opportunities for the youth. So far, 26,000 individuals have got government jobs without any favoritism, as a result of which so far 1,71,000 candidates have got jobs on merit basis.

The Chief Minister said that job security has been given to the outsourced employees. Accidental insurance coverage for employees has been increased from Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh, and permanent term insurance from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh. Under the ‘Har Ghar Grihni Yojana,’ 13 lakh poor families have received gas cylinders for just Rs. 500 per month.

*Commitment to fulfill election promises will continue, CM*

The Chief Minister said that the government is tirelessly working for the welfare of every section of society. Several new commitments made during the assembly elections have already been fulfilled. As promised, from October 29, individuals above 70 years of age have been given free annual treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Additionally, free dialysis services for kidney patients began on October 18, benefiting around 20,000 patients.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the government had also pledged to procure every grain of all crops. During the current procurement season, all grains of paddy, millet, and moong have been purchased at MSP. To alleviate farmers' financial burden due to low rainfall, a bonus of Rs. 2,000 per acre, amounting to Rs. 825 crore, has been disbursed for Kharif crops, informed the Chief Minister

Chandigarh, December 1 - The Haryana Government has decided to rename five colleges in the state in honour of martyrs and eminent citizens of society. In this regard, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini granted administrative approval today.

An official spokesperson informed that, as per the government's decision, in response to public demand, the name of Government Women’s College, Loharu, will be changed to Savitribai Phule, the first female teacher of India and a great social reformer. The government’s objective is that the ideals, values, and work of such a great personality as Savitribai Phule will continue to inspire the present and future generations and motivate them to contribute significantly to societal development.

Additionally, the name of Government Women’s College, Bawal, will be changed to Mrs. Savitri Devi Motilal (Tihara Wale), and the name of Government College, Kanina, will be changed to Pitamah Kanha Singh.

It is worth noting that the citizens of Kanina had themselves spent their own money to build the college on their land, and the college was named after the founder of the village, Pitamah Kanha Singh. After the government took over the college in 2014, Pitamah Kanha Singh’s name was removed. Now, respecting the sentiments of the people of Kanina and fulfilling their request, the name of the college will be restored to Pitamah Kanha Singh.

Similarly, taking cognizance of representations received during the Jan Samvaad programs, the Chief Minister has also approved the renaming of Women’s College, Jakhan Dadi, Ratia, to Martyr Davinder Singh. It is notable that Davinder Singh sacrificed his life in Jammu and Kashmir, killing four terrorists in an operation. In respect of public sentiments, the state government has decided to rename the college after Martyr Davinder Singh.

Furthermore, the name of Government College, Behrampur (Bapoli), will be changed to Martyr Naib Subedar Mahendra Kumar. Naib Subedar Mahendra Kumar, who served in the 6 Para Regiment (Para Commando), sacrificed his life for the country during an operation in Kashmir. This representation was also received during the Jan Samvad program.

Chandigarh, December 1 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi will be launching the Bima Sakhi Yojana from Panipat on December 9. Around one lakh women from the state are expected to participate in the program. Duties have been assigned at the booth level across the state, and at least 25 women from each booth will attend the event. Bima Sakhi Yojana inauguration programme will be no less than a Mahakumbh, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini while interacting with the media persons in Ladwa on Sunday.

He said that the people of Haryana have paved the way for development by electing the BJP government for a third consecutive term. The government is ensuring equitable development across all sectors while fulfilling public aspirations. He said that the repair and re-carpeting work of roads are being carried out at a quick pace, and execution of development projects in the state is being done more swiftly.

The Chief Minister said that on November 28, the Governor had inaugurated the International Gita Mahotsav (IGM) and the main events of the IGM will be held from December 5 to December 11. Lakhs of devotees are expected to attend the IGM and comprehensive arrangements have been made by the government and the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB). Sant Sammelan, a global recitation of the Gita by 18,000 students, the International Gita Seminar, and cultural programs are the key attractions of IGM this year.

*Congress has neither an issue, nor a policy, nor a Leadership*

Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that Congress lacks issues, policies, and leadership, which is why they keep blaming EVM machines for its electoral defeats. Interestingly, this concern is not there in constituencies where Congress wins. He said that Congress resorted to lies and spread rumours about the constitution during the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, but it's deceit was exposed before the world, revealing their true face. Now Congress leaders must understand that people will no longer accept such lies, and the BJP will again form the government at the center and in the state with a full majority in 2029.

The Chief Minister said that the BJP’s state-wide membership campaign was launched a month ago. Under this campaign, a target has been set to enroll 50 lakh new members in the state. Duties have been assigned to all booth-level office bearers to achieve this target, he said.

The delegation includes Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest, and Wildlife Department, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan; Chairman of the Haryana State Biodiversity Board, Mr. Randeep Singh Jauhar; Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Secretary of the Haryana State Biodiversity Board, Mr. Vivek Saxena; and Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Dr. T.P. Singh. This event will provide an effective platform for Green Zone businesses, scientists, financial institutions, NGOs, and affected communities to collaborate and find sustainable solutions for land restoration and drought management.

The COP-16 conference, scheduled for December 2-13, 2024, is expected to be attended by various countries from around the world. Haryana's Cabinet Minister, Mr. Rao Narbir Singh, will be participating in this high-level event with the state delegation.

Before departing, Minister Mr. Rao Narbir Singh stated that Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is taking historic steps to address climate change as part of his vision for a developed India by 2047.

Chandigarh, December 1 — The Municipal Corporation is set to begin construction of an open-air theatre and auditorium in Sector 17, Yamunanagar, with a Bhoomi Pujan ceremony scheduled for 9 am on Monday. The Bhoomi Pujan ceremony will be led by State Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. Shyam Singh Rana. MLA, Mr. Ghanshyam Das Arora, former Cabinet Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal, former Mayor, Mr. Madan Chauhan, BJP District President, Mr. Rajesh Sapra, and other senior officials will remain present at the ceremony.

Notably, the project follows the foundation stone laying by Chief Minister, Mr. Nayab Singh Saini through video conferencing from Panchkula a few months ago. The open-air theatre and auditorium, spanning 5.45 acres, will be constructed under the Divya Nagar Yojana and completed within 18 months. Designed by an architect from Kurukshetra, the venue will feature a stage for 500 people and a 1,000-seat auditorium. Amenities include artist rooms, VIP and conference rooms, parking for 300 cars, CCTV surveillance, greenery, and air-conditioned facilities for indoor events.

The facility will address the lack of venues for social, cultural, religious, and political events in the district, which currently take place in educational institutions, dharamshalas, private venues, and stadiums. The new auditorium will enable such events to be held at a fixed fee, benefiting the community significantly.
