SHIMLA -2nd December, 2024-Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who was also present on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly constructed Bus Stand at Dhalli along with the Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated that the government though had provided administrative approval of Rs. 17 crore for the Bus Stand, but we completed it in Rs. 13.25 crore with all basic amenities including 13 shops, Conference Hall, rest room, waiting and activity rooms, canteen etc. The two Regional managers will also have their office in the newly constructed complex.

Giving details about the department, Sh. Agnihotri said that as of late we have received approval of 250 diesel buses which shall be the part of the existing fleet of HRTC within one and a half months. The HRTC has received 110 crore for electric stations and workshops besides 300 electric buses would be procured soon as the process was in the final stage. He said that the HRTC was committed to facilitate the commuters and would ensure that the bus stands have all the basic facilities. As HRTC was celebrating its Golden jubilee, we are also ensuring that the employees get their due financial share including pensions and salaries every month and we are providing them. He said that the old workshops at Dhalli would be refurbished soon and a sum of Rs 24 crore has been released in the first phase.

He said that the stated government was committed for the welfare of the people of the state and in its two-years tenure the government has undertaken several bold initiatives under the Vyavastha Parivartan embarking Himachal's journey to become self-reliant by 2027 and most prosperous by 2032. "Meanwhile, the opposition, instead of playing a crucial role of being a constructive critic of the democratically elected government, was trivializing the development initiatives of the government. The BJP is constantly involved in halting the implementation and progress of various welfare schemes, thereby preventing the benefits from reaching the common man," stated the Deputy Chief Minister.
