Chandigarh, December 11:- Crippled with fund crunch, the Municipal Commissioner accelerated the process to curtail expenditure in the Municipal Corporation.
After passing the order to slash his personal entertainment charges 50 percent, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Municipal Commissioner asked other officers to surrender their entertainment charges voluntarily.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Municipal Corporation is facing financial crunch these days and the Commissioner took daily stock of expenditure of each branch and directed concerned officers to tane alternate solutions with minimum expenditure.
