CHANDIGARH, 12.12.24-Chandigarh Housing Board Governing Body meeting should be called: Many issues are pending for consideration, discussion and decision: Devshali
Bharatiya Janata Party Vice President and Chandigarh Housing Board Governing Body Member Shakti Prakash Devshali, through a letter to the Chandigarh Housing Board Chairman, urged to call a Governing Body meeting and said that for a long time, many demands of Housing Board residents are pending for consideration, discussion and decision.
Devshali said that almost a month has passed since the formation of the new Governing Body by Chandigarh Administrator Hon. Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, but the meeting of this newly formed body has not been held yet.
Devshali said that more than 3 lakh citizens of about 60000 families living in houses built by Chandigarh Housing Board are troubled by the notice of changes made in the flats of Chandigarh Housing Board as per the requirement, regarding which the Governing Body of the Housing Board should take a quick decision and free them from this worry.
He said that the allottees who have failed to deposit their monthly rent/lease for some time should also decide to organize camps in various rehabilitation colonies for 'on the spot relief' so that on one hand the Housing Board gets financial benefit and on the other hand the fear of cancellation of allotment is also removed from the minds of the allottees.
Apart from this, the demand for lift in CHB flats in Sector 51-A is also pending for a long time, for this, the decision to approve the drawing and amend clause 20 of the need based change notified under number PA/CEO/EA1/2023/02 on 03.01.2023 should also be taken soon in the meeting of the Governing Body.
Devshali also urged the Chairman Chandigarh Housing Board to call a meeting of the Governing Body soon and include the above subjects as 'agenda' in the meeting.
