Chandigarh:13.12.24- With the guidance of Dr Vinod Sharma, Principal ,Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Daria, Chandigarh organized an eco-friendly models exhibition on Energy Conservation Day in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration at the school premises MDAV Bhavan.
In this exhibition, students displayed various models to promote eco-friendly energy. Students explained through models that the use of renewable energy has a positive effect on natural resources. The smoke emitted from vehicles and factories spreads pollution. New technology will have to be used to save the environment.They said that everyone should should use solar lights as much as possible in our homes, streets, schools, hospitals and roads. Emphasis was laid on promoting energy efficiency on the basis of the windmill model. The model also demonstrated the correct use of water. They said that glaciers are melting due to global warming and if this trend continues, the earth will be submerged in water. The model gave the message of improving the transport system.
In this exhibition, the students also displayed making the best of waste, the process of garbage disposal etc. through models. Organic farming is good for the health of mankind. He said that electric vehicles should be used to control pollution. They said that it is very important to save the earth from pollution. After washing the car, the water can be recycled and used for irrigating the plants. Air purification tower and Chandrayaan 3 were the main attractions.
In the junior category, Himanshu and Shiv Shankar, who made the best model, were awarded first, Lovepreet and Hemant second, Adarsh and Raj third and Akash and Abhideep were given consolation prizes. In the senior category, Ragini and Kalpana were awarded first, Kajal and Rupanshu second, Ayush Barthwal and Ayush Kumar third and Prince, Aditya and Julie were awarded consolation prizes.
School's Vice Principal Anju Modgil said that the main objective of this exhibition was to make people aware of energy conservation.
