Chandigarh, December 14 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing representatives of the Brahmin community from across the state at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, said that the state government would celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram in a grand manner at the government level. In addition, in response to the demand from Brahmin community representatives for the formation of a Brahmin Welfare Board, the Chief Minister assured that prominent members of the society would be invited for a detailed discussion on the matter. On this occasion, the Brahmin community delegation congratulated the Chief Minister for ensuring strong participation from their community.
Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the 36 communities of the state have endorsed the development policies of the BJP government, leading to the formation of the BJP government for the third consecutive time, marking a historic achievement in Haryana. He said that it is only through the trust of the people that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi's vision of making India a developed nation can be realized swiftly. He assured that the government would live up to the trust placed in it by the people and work to propel Haryana forward on the fast track of development.

The Chief Minister, while targeting the opposition, said that opposition leaders had already formed a government even before the election results were announced, and now, after the results, they are blaming the EVMs. He pointed out that Congress leaders were demanding an account of the 10 years of the BJP government through yatras, but when asked to give an account of their own tenure, they failed to respond. He said that during the Congress tenure, every government recruitment ended up in court, whereas under the BJP government, even children from poor families are securing government jobs without any parchi-kharchi.
He also criticized the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party, stating that their leaders used to blame each other. However, when they saw Prime Minister. Narendra Modi's strong efforts for the service of the people, the leaders of both parties embraced each other. Now, these same opposition leaders are talking about EVMs being hacked, not realizing that the public understands the truth. The public has once again shown the opposition its place, defeating them for the third consecutive time.
*Ensuring uninterrupted delivery of public services to the common man is the top priority of the state government
The Chief Minister said that ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of public services is the top priority of the state government. As a result, clear instructions have been issued to officials to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries without delay. He said that if any complaints are received from citizens, action will be taken against the concerned officers and employees. He further added that, alongside developmental works, new welfare schemes will be introduced to benefit citizens and accelerate Haryana’s progress in terms of development.
The Chief Minister said that in the last 10 years, Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has launched various schemes aimed at benefiting the poor, which has led to the people’s trust in these policies and their decision to form the BJP government in Haryana. Haryana government is committed to the welfare of the people by following the Antyodaya philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Our government is progressing with the guiding principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, and Sabka Vishwas.
He highlighted that the Haryana government has set a target to establish a medical college in every district. In the past 10 years, medical colleges have been opened in 15 districts, and work is underway to establish colleges in 7 more districts. In addition, a college has been set up within a 20 km radius in every district to ensure that girls do not have to travel long distances for higher education. He also mentioned that the Prime Minister recently laid the foundation stone for the main campus of the Horticulture University. Through its regional center, the university will empower farmers in the field of horticulture, helping them increase their income.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has undertaken several initiatives in the interest of farmers. To alleviate the financial burden caused by the lack of rainfall this year, the government has provided a bonus of Rs 2000 per acre. So far, Rs 800 crore has been directly deposited into the accounts of farmers in two installments. He assured that soon, an additional Rs 400-500 crore will be released as the third installment. Haryana government is committed to purchasing all farmers' crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Haryana Introduces Free Cashless Treatment for Road Accident Victims
Chandigarh, December 14: In compliance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Haryana Police has launched a new initiative under which accident victims will now receive free treatment in the initial golden hour. Under this scheme, treatment up to Rs.1.5 lakh per person per road accident is provided free of cost for a maximum period of 7 days from the date of the accident. In this regard, Additional Director General of Police, Sh. Hardeep Doon has written a letter to all the concerned officers of the state asking them to ensure compliance.
Giving information about this, Director General of Police, Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur said that making the roads of the state safe for the common people is one of our priorities. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare a better and effective action plan to reduce road accidents and work on them. In the same series, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has started providing free treatment facilities to road accident victims. He said that this pilot project will be implemented jointly by the National Health Authority in coordination with the local police and hospitals contracted by the state health department. During this, the accident victim will be provided free treatment up to a limit of Rs 1.5 lakh for a maximum of 7 days under Section 162 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
*Process of Availing Cashless Facility
Under this scheme, the road accident victim is taken to the hospital. After this, the hospital management uploads the data of the injured person in their software and sends it to the concerned police station, after which the concerned police station confirms within 6 hours whether the injured person is injured in a road accident or not. After confirmation, the injured person is provided with cashless treatment.
*Comparative Analysis, Achievements and Measures
Sh. Kapur said that in order to reduce road accidents, Haryana Police works by focusing on several important points, as a result of which a decrease of 616 road accidents has been recorded in 2024 compared to 2023. Along with this, there has also been a decrease of 251 deaths in road accidents in 2024 compared to 2023 and 403 fewer people have been injured. He said that from January 2024 to the end of November 2024, Haryana Police conducted 2166 road safety awareness campaigns through which 2 lakh 91 thousand 307 children and other people ensured participation. Apart from this, 6 special campaigns were conducted in the year 2024, out of which five campaigns were conducted against lane driving and one special campaign against those who applied black film on vehicles. During the special campaign, challans were issued to 27 thousand 321 vehicles in the state, out of which 2600 challans were issued for vehicles with black film.
*Strategic Partnership
Along with this, black spots have also been identified in the state where road accidents are relatively high. These black spots are rectified by coordinating with the concerned road engineering departments. In view of the seriousness of the subject of road safety, road safety committees have been formed in different districts of the state, through which regular meetings are held on the agenda of road safety. By the end of October 2024, 107 such meetings have been held, which are chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of the respective district. He said that in the year 2024, the road safety committee checked 19 thousand 261 school buses, out of which 4,657 school buses were challaned for irregularities. Sh. Kapur said that there are currently 66 toll plazas in the state on which weigh-in-motion machines are to be installed, out of which these machines have been installed at 54 toll plazas, out of which 29 are being used to challan overloaded vehicles through weigh-in-motion machines and soon it will also be started at other toll plazas.
*DGP's Appeal
Appealing to the common people, Sh. Kapur said that road safety is an important issue. The common people should cooperate in making the roads safe and should drive vehicles only within the prescribed speed limit. Haryana Police organizes various types of competitions and activities to make the common people aware of traffic rules. He said that people should not use mobile phones etc. while driving. Even a slight negligence of a person can prove fatal not only for themselves but also for other people.

Haryana Right to Service Commission orders Rs. 5,000 Compensation to Housing Board Allottee due to Delays and Harassment
Chandigarh, Dec 14 - The Haryana Right to Service Commission has directed the Housing Board, Haryana, to compensate an allottee with Rs. 5,000 due to undue delays and harassment in processing a refund related to a property in a death case.
The order was issued by Sh. T.C. Gupta, Chief Commissioner of the Haryana Right to Service Commission. The complainant, Sh. Bhupinder Sharma, had applied for a refund of the amount of a flat whose allotment was in the name of his deceased father. The Housing Board had canceled the allotment, but instead of processing the refund directly, it instructed the complainant to first transfer the cancelled flat to his name before proceeding with the refund.
Despite the complainant following the prescribed process, the Housing Board failed to deliver the required service within the stipulated time. As a result, Sh. Bhupinder Sharma sought redress from the Haryana Right to Service Commission.
After reviewing the case and hearing from the concerned authorities, the Commission concluded that the Housing Board’s delay and the subsequent harassment faced by the complainant warranted compensation. The Commission has ordered the Housing Board to pay Rs. 5,000 as compensation.
Further, the Commission directed that the Housing Board recover the compensation amount from the responsible officers after conducting an inquiry into the delay. In addition, the Board has been instructed to inform the Commission once the property transfer has been completed. The Commission has also ordered that any further delays could result in additional penal actions.

4thNational Lok Adalat held in 22 Districts and 34 Sub-Divisions of Haryana
Chandigarh, December 14 - Acting under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the vision of Executive Chairperson, NALSA Sh. Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India, the Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA) organized the 4thNational Lok Adalat on saturday under the overall leadership of its Patron-in-Chief, HALSASh. Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court and the guidance and concerted efforts of its Executive Chairman Sh. Arun Palli, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The National Lok Adalat was organized in all the 22 districts and 34 sub-divisions of Haryana through the District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) by way of constituting 165 benches for both pre-litigation and pending court cases. A wide array of cases from various categories including civil, matrimonial, motor accident claims, bank recovery, cheque bounce, traffic challans, compoundable criminal cases etc. including the cases of Permanent Lok Adalats (Public Utility Services) working in the ADR Centres numbering more than 4,25,000 cases were referred to the Lok Adalat benches for settlement by way of mutual consent.
The purpose of holding National Lok Adalat is to provide a platform to the litigants to settle their disputes amicably without any delay, while the award of Lok Adalat is final and there is a provision for refund of court fees in case of settlement in Lok Adalat.
Sh. Surya Partap Singh, Learned District & Sessions Judge-cum-Member Secretary, HALSA informed that in today's National Lok Adalat including Pre-Lok Adalat sittings, more than 3,50,000 cases, both pre-litigative and pending court cases, were disposed of.

Thousands of devotees views International Gita Mahotsav online at five major pilgrimage sites
Special arrangements made for live streaming through efforts of the Public Relations Department
Chandigarh, December 14 – For the first time, the Haryana government organised live streaming of the International Gita Mahotsav at five major pilgrimage sites across the country. Deputy Commissioner, Kurukshetra, Neha Singh said that the Mahotsav’s events, held from December 5 to 11, 2024 were broadcast online, allowing thousands of devotees visiting these sites to witness the celebrations. Initiative was led by the Department of Information, Public Relations, Languages, and Culture ensuring the Mahotsav reached devotees beyond Kurukshetra. Visitors commended Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for the efforts.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the International Gita Mahotsav has gained immense popularity not only in India but across the globe. Every devotee is eager to join this festival, with lakhs traveling to Kurukshetra in person and crores joining online through platforms like websites, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. This year, as part of a unique initiative, the Public Relations Department sent five promotional Chariots to key pilgrimage sites, including Shree Jagannatha Temple in Odisha, Shri Banke Bihari Mandir, Vrindavan (UP), Krishna Janmasthan Temple in Mathura, Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat, and Thikana Mandir Shree Govind Dev Ji in Jaipur (Rajasthan).
These vehicles were equipped with large LED screens and internet connectivity, ensuring seamless viewing of various Mahotsav events. Devotees at these sites could enjoy the daily Vaishvik Gita Path, the Maha Aarti at Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra, cultural performances from the main stage, Odisha pavilions and cultural programs of Haryana Pavilion, the Gita seminar at Kurukshetra University, the 48 Kos Tirtha Sammelan, and events like Deepdaan and Deepotsav. An online live link was prepared for the convenience of devotees, enabling them to experience the Mahotsav from these pilgrimage locations.

Chandigarh, December 14 – As part of the International Gita Mahotsav, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC),Ambala, under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises,Government of India, and KVIC, is organising a five-day exhibition at Haryana Pavilion, near Purshottampura Bagh, from December 12 to16,2024. The exhibition features earthen utensils and handmade herbal products, where visitors are learning about their benefits and also showing great interest in purchasing them.
Assistant Director of Khadi and Village Industries(KVIC), Ambala, Sh. Rakesh Sharma said that this exhibition aligns with the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of empowering artisans and promoting self-employment. The aim is to provide a marketing platform to artisans and organisations associated with Khadi and Village Industries development schemes, such as the Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana and the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).The exhibition features 20 stalls displaying earthen utensils and herbal products handcrafted by artisans from various districts of Haryana.
Sh. Jagat Singh Hooda from the department stated that KVIC supports artisans not only with financial assistance but also by providing modern tools and machinery. These tools help artisans produce high-quality clay and herbal products. Workshops are also regularly organised to showcase and sell their products. Apart from this, young individuals interested in starting their own ventures are offered financial aid and equipment to establish self-employment opportunities, helping them become self-reliant.
Rajbir, an artisan from Jhajjar who attended the exhibition, shared his story. A graduate and skilled pottery artist, Rajbir faced financial challenges but found support through KVIC. The department assisted him in setting up his business by providing financial aid and technical support. Today, he earns a good income from selling his clay products, with his family members also contributing to the business.

Chandigarh, December 14 – Haryana Revenue, and Disaster Management, and Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh. Vipul Goel inaugurated the ‘Sanjha Bazaar’ in Rohtak on Saturday under the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) to support self-help groups.
Addressing the members of the SHGs at the event, Sh. Goel stated that the ‘Sanjha Bazaar’ is a significant step towards achieving Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s goal of empowering 3 crore “Lakhpati Didis”. The marketplace provides these groups with a prime location to sell their products. A total of 13 self-help groups have been allotted 10 shops in the ‘Sanjha Bazaar’.
Apart from this, Sh.Goel performed the Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony for Arogya Kendra of the Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust on Civil Road. He said that social service is possible only with collective efforts. Bharat Vikas Parishad has been contributing significantly to religious and social causes for the past 60 years. With the opening of this charitable trust, it will benefit the underprivileged members of society. To support the project, Sh. Goel announced a contribution of Rs. 25 lakh from his discretionary fund.
