CHANDIGARH, 26.12.24-One of the highlights of the day was a beautifully enacted drama depicting the story of Christmas, capturing the divine essence of the birth of Jesus Christ. The students, with their impeccable acting and emotive storytelling, transported the audience to Bethlehem, reliving the nativity scene with authenticity and reverence. The performance reminded everyone of the enduring message of peace, love, and hope that Christmas brings.Adding to the festive splendor, the school’s dance troupe enthralled everyone with a series of captivating performances on upbeat Christmas tunes, perfectly blending tradition with youthful exuberance. The rhythm and vibrancy of the performances left the audience spellbound, as laughter and applause resonated through the air.
An exclusive exhibition of handcrafted Christmas-themed items, lovingly created by students, was another highlight of the day. From intricate ornaments to vibrant décor pieces, each item reflected creativity and the holiday spirit. Parents eagerly picked up these treasures to adorn their homes, cherishing the effort and artistry of their children.
To instill the true essence of Christmas—giving and sharing—the Wall of Kindness was inaugurated at the school’s side gate. A heartfelt initiative by the Peace Club of St. Joseph’s, in collaboration with Yuvsatta, this wall invited students and their families to contribute items such as clothes, stationery, toys, pouches, toiletries, and other necessities for the less fortunate. The accompanying Children’s Bank ensured that all contributions would reach those in need, reinforcing the ethos of bridging societal divides.
Furthering this message of compassion, the staff and students visited the children’s ward at Max Hospital Mohali, spreading holiday cheer among young patients for the 6th consecutive year. With carols, gifts, and heartfelt interactions, they created an atmosphere of warmth, ensuring that even amidst medical care, the children experienced the joy and magic of Christmas.
Principal Ms. Monica Chawla, in her closing address, remarked, “Christmas is not just a season; it is a state of mind. It is a celebration of love, joy, and hope. Through our initiatives, we aim to teach our students that the greatest joy lies in giving and spreading happiness.” She extended her gratitude to the Management Members for their unwavering support in making such endeavors possible.
