Chandigarh, December 27 --- Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, stating that Dr Singh was a seasoned politician, skilled economist, and visionary leader who dedicated his life to serving the people of the nation. The Governor said that Dr Singh’s contributions to the country’s development and his commitment to the welfare of the people will always be remembered.

He highlighted that as Finance Minister Dr Singh implemented liberalization policies to rescue the nation from a financial crisis and introduced several structural reforms during his tenure, strengthening India’s economy.

Shri Dattatraya conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for them to have the strength to bear this irreparable loss. He further prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
