Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Raju Rawat R/o vill- Singhada, Tehsil- Kharar Distt- Mohali Pb age- 37 yrs and Sunil Kumar R/o # 1848, Sector-34-D, Chandigarh (age-34 years) while consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place at parking near Togan Light Point and near RC-1, School Dhanas Chandigarh on 10.01.2023. A case FIR No. 02 & 03, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. They were later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Pardeep Kumar R/o # 299 Phase-2, BDC Sec-26 Chd. age- 34 yrs, while consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place at parking near BDC Light Point, Chandigarh on 10.01.2023. A case FIR No. 04, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Vinod Kumar R/o # 56 Vill- Kajheri Chd. age-48 yrs, and recovered 24 half of country made liquor from his possession at near 66, KV Village Kajheri Chd. on 10-01-2025. A case FIR No. 07 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Later on, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested in Theft case

Dr. Parvinder Sidhu R/o # 66 Sector-18/A CHD reported that unknown person, complainant stated that his caretaker of # 66 Sec-18A Chd told him that on 09-01-2025 there was a theft at home by unknown person. Then he came there and found that someone who stole silver idols, one gold ginni, cash approx rs. 10,000/- etc. by breaking wooden door lock. During investigation accused Sunil Kumar @ Gola R/O H NO. 277/B, Small Flat, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chd age- 23 years has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 05 U/S 305, 331(3) BNS Added 317(2) BNS has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Varun Chugh Asst. Project manager Chandigarh Smart City Ltd. Office of Command Center Sector-17, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person who stolen material (1) UPS along with batteries from installed surveillance location Sector- 33/45 Chandigarh on 29-12-2024. In this regard a case FIR No. 06 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR no. 04 U/S 281, 125, 106(1) IPC has been registered in PS-49 on the statement of Jaswant R/o Vill- Rurka, Post- Dharamgarh, PS- 66 IT City Mohali Pb against Takshak Arya R/o # 1064, Sector- 44/B Chandigarh age- 25 yrs who drive fortuner Car No. CH01AC6832 and hit to the complainant’s friend Sahil who was sitting on splendor motorcycle No. PB-65BH4303 at near wine shop T-point Sector- 48 Chd. on 10-01-2025. Due to this Sahil got injured. PCR staff took him for GMCH-32 and where duty doctor declared brought dead to him. Accused arrested and bailed out later on. Investigation of the case is in progress.
