A Case FIR No.15 U/s 223 BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 17 Chandigarh. Later on, accused bailout. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating

A Case FIR No 08 U/S 316(2),318(4),336(3) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 19 Chandigarh on the complaint of Ajay Partap Sing Bhullar and others R/o # 3036, Sector 19 Chandigarh against Nikhil Thakur R/o # Garkhal, Solan HP who cheated with complainant on the pretext of investing in Stock Market and trading . Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 10 U/S 318(4), 336(3), 340(2),61(2) BNS & 24 Immigration Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 26 Chandigarh on the complaint of Rajinder Singh R/o # 1732, Sector-15 Panchkula Haryana and others against Sahil Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Mannat, and others of EIC visa, SCO No 17 2^nd floor, Sector 07/C Chandigarh who cheated with complainant for Rs.8,34,690/-, to provide visa for Luxemburg . Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A Case FIR No 11 U/S 305 BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 26 Chandigarh on the complaint of Rahul Bansal R/o # 1506, Sector-7C, Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away cash Rs. 3 to 3.2 Lac , 5 silver coin, 1 gold coin 02 gram and DVR from Vijay Bansal Super Market Sector-7, Chandigarh on intervening night 31.12.2024/01.01.202025. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 21 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh on the complaint of Varun Chug R/o # 5270, Sector 38/W Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away 12 batteries from near kali Bari light point. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Abetment of suicide

A Case FIR No 14 U/S 108 BNS has been registered in Police Station Maloya Chandigarh on the complaint of Santosh Kumar R/o # Nekpur Bandipurwa, District Unnao, UP against Bilashi R/o # gill farm, Maloya Chandigarh who abetted his wife complainant daughter resultant she committed suicide on night intervening 19/20-01-2025. During investigation, accused has been arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Police party achieved a major achievement by arresting accused namely Sunil Kumar S/o Om Parkash R/o H. No. 1978, Phase-2, Ramdbarbar, Chandigarh age 24 years.

CHANDIGARH, 2201.25-As per directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, and under the supervision of Sh. Jaswinder Singh, SDPO/South a team of officials of Police Station, Sector-31, Chandigarh headed by Insp. Rajiv Kumar, SHO/PS-31 along with police party achieved a major achievement by arresting accused namely Sunil Kumar S/o Om Parkash R/o H. No. 1978, Phase-2, Ramdbarbar, Chandigarh age 24 years. The contraband i.e. 13.10 gm heroine recovered from the possession of Sunil Kumar @ Hondra. On this, a case FIR No. 19, dated 20.01.2025 U/S 21 NDPS Act PS-31, Chandigarh has been registered.

Brief fact of case
On 20.01.2025, ASI Ranjit Singh along with other police officials were on patrolling duty and prevention and detection of crime in Ramdarbar, Chandigarh. During patrolling, when they reached near Guga Mari Turn, 3 BRD Road Chd, at about 6.25 PM, a pedestrian person was coming from jungle area, on seeing the police party, he swiftly tried to turn back. On the basis of suspicions, ASI Ranjit Singh apprehended this person with the help of police party. On this, suspect tried to throw some articles from his hand feast. ASI Ranjit Singh hold hand of the suspect and having something in his hand feast. The hand feast was opened and found a polythene containing heroine weighing 13.10 gm including polythene lifafa. Who failed to produce any license/permit for the same. On verification, he disclosed his name Sunil Kumar S/o Om Parkash R/o H. No. 1978, Phase-2, Ramdbarbar, Chandigarh age 24 years. On verification, he disclosed his name as Sunil Kumar S/o Om Parkash R/o H. No. 1978, Phase-2, Ramdbarbar, Chandigarh age 24 years.
