MAHENDERGARH, 30.09.24-The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Central university of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh organized a cleanliness drive today under the banner of the "Swachh Bharat Mission." The event, aimed at promoting hygiene and environmental sustainability, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and local community members.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University said in his message that the NSS has always been at the forefront of social service, and this cleanliness drive is a testament to our commitment to Swachh Bharat. Prof. Sushma Yadav, Pro Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters for making the cleanliness drive a resounding success and gave her best wishes to the students.

The cleanliness drive was conducted at Baba Jairamdas Mandir and sports complex, Pali, Mahendergarh. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar, who emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the well-being of society. In his opening remarks, he lauded the efforts of NSS in fostering a sense of responsibility among the youth towards community service and cleanliness. The volunteers also interacted with local residents, raising awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in preventing diseases and improving the quality of life. The event was organised by Dr. Pradeep Kumar, NSS Coordinator, Dr. Neelam Yadav, Program officer unit 1 and Dr. Yudhvir, Program officer unit 3. They said that this cleanliness drive is a step towards achieving the larger goal of a Swachh Bharat, as envisioned by the Government of India
