SHIMLA-26th December, 2024-Students from National Institute of Technology Hamirpur and various universities of Telangana participating in Yuva Sangam Phase-V interacted with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhawan today. This program of Yuva Sangam has been organized under the scheme "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat". On the occasion, the students also shared their experiences with the Governor.
On the occasion, the Governor said that such programs were useful in promoting cultural engagement and understanding, which further strengthens the feeling of unity among the youth. He said that India is renowned across the globe for its knowledge tradition. He added that the foreign travellers since ages explored India and studied the Vedas. "As they their understanding about the Vedas developed, they became more and more impressed by the knowledge traditions of India," stated the Governor. He gave a message to the world: "If you want to learn something, then learn from the Vedas and if you want to understand, then understand India."
He emphasized that the students must feel proud about their culture and adopt it. He said that today India's respect worldwide is greater than ever before and developed nations also respect our leadership, which shows the strength of India.
On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University Prof. Satprakash Bansal also expressed his views and made students aware of the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier, Dr. Param Singh, Nodal Officer of Yuva Sangam Phase-V Programme, welcomed and honoured the Governor.
