Shimla, 22.02.25- : Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that the Sukhu government has become directionless, chaotic and dictatorial. The police department has created a ruckus because the Chief Minister could not get a samosa. The resources and energy of the state government were wasted in investigating who ate the samosa and now the resources are being wasted in finding out who leaked the state CID Samosa scandal or who reported it in the media and why?

The government or should we say congress are after the unknown persons with all their might. Jairam said that the Crime is at its peak in the state, in the last 50 days 16 murders have taken place in the state. In the last one month five youths have died due to drug addiction or synthetic drug usage.
Today, the case of a youth's death due to drug overdose has made headlines in newspapers. Mining mafias are digging up bridges, roads etc. Illegal mining is going on at war footing that also within two hundred meters of the SP office and the police is not taking any action even after a group of local people complaining about the about the same. There is anarchy all over in the state, the mafia is out of the control and is challenging the credibility of the government but the intelligence police of our state is busy searching for samosa and those who leaked the investigation of samosa.
He said that The FIR lodged by the CID in this case is also ridiculous and full of planned conspiracy. Section 353(2) mentioned in the FIR is an attempt to impose restrictions on the media. This FIR is an attack on media freedom. By using this, the government wants to send a message to the media that the government will not spare anyone who writes against their failures. Till now, the government has lodged more than two dozen FIRs against media personnel as well as common people for writing against the government. Now the government has brought out the ashes of the Samosa incident to collectively target media personnel and common people of the state. Freedom of expression of media personnel and common man is their fundamental right granted by the Constitution, which Sukh government wants to snatch away. On this dictatorial tactics of the congress government, the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi who is pretending to save the Constitution, should also answer that how can the government of his ruling party violate the fundamental rights of the people.
Jairam Thakur said that it has been stated in the FIR that sensitive matters are repeatedly leaked in the media, so the Chief Minister should clarify how many such matters have already been leaked in the media and what are the threats to the sovereignty and internal security of the state due to them? The Chief Minister should also explain what kind of secrecy is there in the investigation of who ate his samosas and how is it related to public interest. Jairam said that the Chief Minister should give up his dictatorial attitude and talk about the problems faced by the common people. Instead of hatching ways to crush the media, the government should focus on crushing the drug and mining mafias that are spreading their tentacles in the state. The Chief Minister should refrain from trying to impose an undeclared emergency in the state.
