Cheating
A case FIR No. 97 U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in Police Station Cyber Crime, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Sharanjeet Singh R/O #1430, Progressive Society, Sector-50B. The complainant lost ₹45,59,000/- in an online investment scam after being lured by a fraudulent group, AQR Capital Trading Titans Talk. The case is under investigation.
A case FIR No. 76 U/S 406, 420, 506, 120B IPC has been registered in Police Station 49 Chandigarh, on the complaint of Jagir Singh R/O #275, Sector-51, Chandigarh, against Ajit Singh and others. The accused cheated the complainant for ₹45 lakhs to send his daughter-in-law to the USA illegally after her marriage to his son. The case has been registered on an ICMS complaint. Investigation is in progress
A case FIR No. 90 U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in Police Station Ind. Area, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Sulinder R/O #186, Dadumajra Colony, Chandigarh. The accused Sunil R/O #1411, PH-1, Ram Darbar, and Rahul Rana, Manager, Sector 50, Village Daria, defrauded the complainant by having their bank accounts transferred under false pretenses and securing loans with fake documents, resulting in financial losses. No arrests have been made so far. Investigation is in progress.
A case FIR No. 89 U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in Police Station Ind. Area Chandigarh, on the complaint of Baldev Singh R/O #1456, Street No. 1, Barwala Road, Derabassi, Mohali, Punjab, against Vikash and a woman. Both accused cheated the complainant with 9.4 lakhs and now failed to return money. Investigation is in progress.
Assault
A case FIR No. 192 U/S 329(4), 115(2), 351(2), 351(3) BNS has been registered in Police Station 36 Chandigarh, on the complaint of Swaranjit Singh R/O #112, Sector-36A, Chandigarh, against a lady and Manjeet Singh, and others. The accused forcibly broke the lock of the complainant's gate and threatened him on 28-08-2024. No arrests have been made so far. Investigation is in progress.
