A case FIR No. 106 U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered at Sector 03 Police station on the complaint of Gurnam Singh, a resident of Bagan, Hoshiarpur, against Arar Singh, based in Sector 8C, Chandigarh, for defrauding him of ₹37,000 in a visa-related scam. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 160 U/S 406, 420, 120B IPC has been registered at Sector 17 Police Station on the complaint of Jagat Singh, a resident of Kurukshetra, along with other complainants, who accused Khush Pal Singh, owner of a business in Sector 17D, Chandigarh, of defrauding them of ₹68.93 lakh in a visa scam. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 74 U/S 409, 420, 120B IPC & 24 IMMIGR ATION ACT has been registered at Sector 19 Police Station on the complaint of Mohmad Abid, a resident of Kolkata, along with others, who lodged a complaint against Prism Service Company in Sector 20D, Chandigarh, for defrauding them of ₹18 lakh in a visa scam Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 91 U/S 406, 120B IPC has been registered at Industrial Area Police Station on the complaint of Vijay, a resident of Milk Colony, Dhanas, who accused Sunil Oberai of Padam Motors in the Industrial Area, Chandigarh, of illegally scrapping his car without his consent in Ambala.
A case FIR No. 92 U/S 379, 406, 120B IPC has been registered at Industrial Area Police Station on the complaint of Prakash Chand Bhatia, Senior Administrative Officer at TBRL Sector 30, Chandigarh, against Sunil Kumar and others from Ram Darbar for allegedly stealing and misusing confidential documents belonging to TBRL and DRDO. A case FIR No. 144 U/S 384, 406, 420, 120B IPC has been registered at Sector 39 Police Station on the complaint of Jaspreet Singh Narula, a resident of East Patel Nagar, New Delhi, who accused a woman resident of Sector 40A, Chandigarh, and others of withholding his passport and demanding $18,000 for its return. Investigation of the case is in progress.
