A case FIR No. 240 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of ASI Amarjit Singh. During a routine patrol in Village Attawa, Sector 42, Chandigarh, it was found that the manager of Hotel Star City, Suraj Kumar failed to maintain proper guest records as mandated by the District Magistrate's orders (effective from 29-10-2024 to 27-12-2024). The manager was arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Eight arrested in attempt to Murder

A case FIR No. 144 U/S 109, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Abhisek R/o Jhampur, Mohali. The complainant alleged an attack by Vineet with a sharp weapon at the UIET Community Centre, Sector 25, Chandigarh, on 10-10-2024. The accused Vineet, alias Ganja, and a juvenile accomplice have been arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 239 U/S 109(1), 191(2), 191(3), 190, 118(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of Lakhan R/O Village Attawa, Sector 42, Chandigarh. The complainant reported that six individuals—Arun, Krish, Vikas, Ankit, Abhishek, and Pankaj—attacked his brother Rahul with a sharp weapon, causing injuries that required hospitalization. All accused have been arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress

Snatching

A case FIR No. 88 U/S 126(2), 304(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Maloya on the complaint of lady resident of Dhanas, Chandigarh. The complainant reported that two unknown Activa riders snatched her bag containing important documents, including her Aadhaar card, mobile phone (Redmi 6A, Sky color), and Rs. 20,000, at Sector 25/38 light point on 11-11-2024. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 196 U/S 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered at Police Station 17 on the complaint of Ankit Kumar R/O Durga Colony, Ward No. 8, Trawari, Karnal, Haryana. The complainant accused Karanvir Singh, S.P. Yadav, and others from Visa Support Service Private Limited (SCO No. 181/182, Sec-17/C) of cheating him of Rs. 12 lakhs under the pretext of providing a study visa for Australia. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 173 U/S 409, 420, 120B IPC has been registered at Police Station 34 on a complaint of a lady resident of Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh who alleged that a lady and her son, Yugam Bhardwaj, of cheating her of approximately Rs. 40 lakhs under the pretext of a share investment. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 75 U/S 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sarangpur on the complaint of Rajinder Singh R/o Kachi Colony, Dhanas. The complainant reported the theft of an HP gas cylinder from his home on the night of 19-10-2024.

A case FIR No. 174 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 34 on the complaint of Abhimanyu Kahan Pathak R/o Sec-24, Panchkula, Haryana who reported that unknown person stole away a Sony camera, laptop, three hard disks, power bank, phone charger, camera lens, and motorcycle documents from his Maruti Dezire car parked near the petrol pump in Sector-34, Chandigarh, on 10-11-2024. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 104 U/S 281, 106 BNS has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area on the complaint of Maya Ram R/o Sector 26, Chandigarh. The complainant reported that an unknown e-rickshaw driver hit pedestrian Manjeet near the Sector 29/30 dividing road, who got injured and admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh where duty doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of this case is in progress.

CHANDIGARH, 12.11.24-Chandigarh Police has arrested an accused namely Anuj Dang S/O Sh. Mohan Lal R/O # 305, Sector-15, Faridabad, HR. (Director M/S Madhyam Land Trade India LLP) age 48 years, involved in cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy.
As per the facts of the Case, FIR No. 09 dated 08.11.2024 U/S 406, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 474, 120-B IPC, PS-Economic Offences Wing, Sec-17, Chandigarh, has been registered on the complaint of Sh. Vikram Sharma and Smt. Vijay Sharma R/O House No. 811 Sector-16/D, Chandigarh, against Anuj Dang, Gurkirat Singh, Gunjan Chaudhary and others, C/O M/S Madhyam Land Trade India LLP SCO No. 2430, @F, Sector-22/C, CHD. Alleged persons allured the complainant and his mother to invest the money in their project. Further complainant and his mother invested huge amount for purchasing plots and flats from project of alleged persons. But till date alleged persons neither gave possession of plots and flats nor money to complainant. Further questioned land has been sold to third party by the alleged persons.
During investigation accused Anuj Dang S/O Sh. Mohan Lal (Director M/S Madhyam Land Trade India LLP) has been arrested from Faridabad ,Haryana and further investigation of the case is going on.

Rajiv Kumar, SHO/PS-31 along with police party achieved an achievement by arresting one accused namely Hari Om @ Rottal S/o Ram Avtar R/o # 2102, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh age 27 years in case FIR No. 232, dated 11.11.2024, U/S 25/54/59 Arms Act PS-31, Chandigarh.
Brief fact of case
On 11.11.2024, SI Jaswinder Singh along with police party was on patrolling duty. At about 12.35 PM, when he reached near H. No. 2056, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh, he saw a person was coming from park side and suddenly that person turned back and started walking fast. On the basis of doubt, SI Jaswinder Singh, with help of other police official, caught this person who disclosed his name Hari Om @ Rottal S/o Ram Avtar R/o # 2102, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh age 27 years. On the search of suspect, a Knife (kamanidar) was recovered from the right pocket of his pent which was taken into police possession through seizure memo. Accused Hari Om @ Rottal S/o Ram Avtar R/o # 2102, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh age 27 years has been arrested in this case.
