Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 76 U/S 305 BNS has been registered in Police Station Sarangpur Chandigarh on the complaint of one lady R/o # Small Flats Dhanas Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away her gold chain, gold ring, gold noise pin, Silver payal, Two silver ring and cash 30000/35000 Rs. When she went lucknow on 15 july 2024 and reach back on 14 September 2024. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating

A Case FIR No 92 U/S 406,420 IPC has been registered in Police Station Sector 49 Chandigarh on the complaint of Satnam Singh Virk R/o # 2401 Telephone Society, Sector 50/C Chandigarh against Roop Ram Shukla R/o # B-1/6 Gali no 09 Dashrath Puri Vinay enclave South West Delhi. Complainant gave the contract for installing the lift to Roop Ram Shukla, but he cheated with complainant of Rs. 5,21,300/- and did not complete the work for the complainant. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Quarrel

A Case FIR No 89 U/S 115(2),126(2)351(2),191(2),191(3) BNS has been registered in Police Station Maloya Chandigarh on the complaint of Robin @ Bura R/o # 614 Sector 25 Chandigarh against Sanju@ kancha and 5-6 others unknown boys, they attacked with knife to the complainant and his elder brother Ravi at near his house. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success by arresting the accused of Attempt to murder case in Case FIR No. 239 dated 11.11.2024 u/s U/s 109 (1), 191 (2), 191 (3), 190, 118 (1) BNS PS-36 Chd., PS-36, Chandigarh on 11.11.2024.
INTRODUCTION
This case has been registered on the complaint of Lakhan s/o Deepak das r/o 51/5 Attawa sector 42 Chandigarh age 21 yrs in which he stated that on 10.11.24 at about 10:30 pm met with Rahul Atta Chaki In meantime 6-7 boys coming from star city Hotel and they abusing them they started quarreling and beating them. They attached his brother with sharp weapon in the stomach & abdomen several times causing him serious injuries. They threatened them and ran away from the spot. Rahul is under treatment at GMHS 32 Chandigarh.
During the course of investigation, by making sincere efforts and developing CCTV Camera footage accused accused Aniket S/o Satish Kumar R/o H No. 2587, Sector 38C Chd. Age. 19 years, Abhishek S/o Pawan Kumar R/o H No. 2561, Sec-38 Age. 22 years, Pankaj S/o Bhagwandin R/o H No. 276, Bhaderi Sector 41 Chd. Age. 18 ½ years, Vikash S/o Kanwarpal R/o H No. 4723, Sector 38 Chd. Age. 19 years, Ankit S/o Dhir Singh R/o H No. 4998/3 Sector-38 Chd. Age. 21 years, Arun S/o Brijesh R/o H No. 140 Sector-56 Chd. Age. 23 years and Krish S/o Rajkumar R/o H No. 2461, Sector 38C Chandigarh, Age. 18 years, have been arrested on 11.11.2024 i.e. same day. During investigation within few hours of the incident they were produced before the Hon’ble the court on 12.11.2024 and obtained two days police remand and another five accused has been sent to judicial custody. The further investigation is in progress.

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success under the supervision of SSP UT, ASP/South-West & SHO-PS-36 in apprehending a unknown vehicle containing liquor a Case No. 239, Dt 11.11.2024 U/s 109(1),191(2),191(3),190,118(1) BNS Police Station-36, UT, Chandigarh.
INTRODUCTION
The above said case has been registered on the secret information of Mukhbar Khas that an illegal liquor is loaded in vehicle No. HP72 C 3861 and taking liquor to outside from Chandigarh. On this information a naka was established and apprehended the Bolero vehicle bearing No. HP72 C 3861 containing liquor of 200 boxes total bottle of 2400 having power star find Rum.
During the course of investigation, it reveals that the liquor was smuggled from Chandigarh to other state. The efforts are being made to arrest the culprits and trace out the source from where the liquor was taken.

An awareness programme

CHANDIGARH, 13.11.24-As per the directions of W/SSP/UT, Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS under the close guidance of Sh. Mridul, IPS, W/SP/City Chandigarh, today, an awareness programme has been carried out by Samavesh Staff of PS-34 in collaboration with White Foundation (NGO) at Govt. Model Senior School- 46-D Chandigarh on following topics:

  • Elopement Cases
  • Child Trafficking.
  • Child abuse.
  • Child beggary.
  • Cyber Crime

Sh. Jaswinder Singh, CPS, SDPO/South delivered Speech to the participants. Students of class 11th and 12th of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School- 46-D Chandigarh have participated in this Awareness Camp. Smt. Meena Chadha, President White Foundation (NGO) and Principal Smt. Gurpreet Kaur alongwith teachers of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School- 46-D Chandigarh also present in the awareness camp. Total 125 students have participated in the Awareness Camp. The students were made aware especially about Child Trafficking and indulgedment of minors in elopement cases and its consequences. They were sensitized about good touch bad touch. They were also sensitized about not to accept friend request sent by unknown number and not to share their pictures and personal details on social media. They were also sensitized to report the matter immediately to Police as well their parents and teachers in case of any sexual abuse. Students were also informed about Child Help Line Number 1098 and Emergency Response Support System112 as well Cyber Helpline Number 1930. Students were also acknowledged about POCSO Act and Cyber Crime. The Cyber Expert from CenCOPS also made aware the students about the Cyber fraud and about the risk and consequences of social medial platforms. The students have participated in this awareness camp with full enthusiasm.

Under the supervision of Insp. Ashok Kumar three drug suppliers namely Mohit @ Golu, Vikram, Gopal Prasad Shreshth were arrested and recovered 1.19.09 KG Charas from their possession.

In a major breakthrough, Police Station-ANTF of Chandigarh Police got a major success while acting against Drug Suppliers. As per direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime & HQ, under the guidance of DSP Crime, Sh. Jasbir Singh, a team of PS- ANTF under the supervision of Insp. Ashok Kumar three drug suppliers namely Mohit @ Golu, Vikram, Gopal Prasad Shreshth were arrested and recovered 1.19.09 KG Charas from their possession. A juvenile was also apprehended in this case

Brief Facts: -

On 9.11.2024 SI Suresh Kumar 1296/CHG alongwith police party was on crime detection and prevention duty in UT, Chandigarh area. On receipt of secret information at about 2.00 am three boys namely Mohit @ Golu, Vikram and one juvenile were apprehended while they were getting down from bus HR38Z-4000 and recovered 1 KG Charas from their possession. They could not produce any permit or license to carry this contraband. In this regard Case FIR No. 15 dated 9.11.2024 u/s 20 & 29 NDPS Act. PS-ANTF, Chandigarh was registered against them. Juvenile was produced before the juvenile court and sent to juvenile home. Whereas police custody remand of accused Mohit @ Golu and Vikram was obtained to nab the drug suppliers. On 11.11.2024 on the instance of arrested accused drug supplier namely Gopal Prasad Shreshth was arrested from his residence at District Kullu, HP and recovered 19.09 grams Charas from his possession.

1. Profile of accused Mohit @ Golu: -

Mohit @ Golu S/o Mangal r/o Ward No. 8 Narnaund, Hisar Haryana Age 25 years. He is 12th passed and drug addicted. He disclosed that he was involved in 07 quarrel cases previously at his native District which is being verified.

2. Profile of accused Vikram: -

Vikram S/o Wazir R/o near old Sabji Mandi, Narnaund, Hisar Haryana Age 25 years. He is 6th passed and drug addicted. He disclosed that he was arrested previously in 01 case of NDPS Act at District Kullu, HP, which is being verified.

3. Profile of accused Gopal Prasad: -

Gopal Prasad Shreshth S/o Hari Parsad R/o VPO Barshaini Tehsil Jari, PS Manikaran, District Kullu HP age 56 years. He belongs to Nepal and he is 6th passed and drug addicted. His previous record is being verified.

Recovery:

1.19.09 kgs Charas

Modus Operandi: -

Accused are labourer and also drug addicted. Accused Mohit @ Golu and Vikram purchase the drugs from Gopal Prasad Shreshth from Kasol, Kullu at low price and further supplied in Chandigarh and Haryana area at high price to earn easy money. The investigation of case is under progress, all accused have been sent to Judicial custody and Juvenile was produced before the juvenile court and sent to juvenile home.
