Mohali, 12th February-Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura today celebrated Basant Panchmi with full vivacity and enthusiasm at its campus. The College was decorated with yellow flowers, kites & rangoli. Everyone wore yellow, Green clothes and Yellow sweets were also distributed among all.
After Sarswati Puja, the students participated in various competitions including kite flying, fancy dress etc organized on this day. The Kite king, Best Dress up & Basant Queen titles were given to students.
This year Basant Panchami will be celebrated on 14 February. It is to be mentioned that according to the Hindu calendar, Basant Panchami festival falls on the fifth day (Panchami) of the Hindu month of Magha. The festival is usually considered to mark the onset of spring in India.
