CHANDIGARH, 17.0Tashan-e-Basant was celebrated with full spirit at Dev Samaj College for Women Sec 45-B Chandigarh on 16th Feb 2024.

The college campus adorned a festive look and resonated with the colours of Basant. Dr Agnese Dhillon, Secretary DSCW-45 graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She encouraged and commended the efforts of the staff and students in keeping the traditions and culture alive.

Principal, Prof (Dr) Neeru Malik congratulated students for putting up a great show. She motivated them to participate enthusiastically in such events as it develops their overall personality. On this occasion College’s Electoral Literacy Club also educated the students about their voting rights. Principal Prof (Dr) Neeru Malik urged the students to exercise their voting rights and become responsible citizens of the country.

The college encourages and gives the students a platform to hone their skills. Almost 34 stalls of food, accessories, games and art were put up and managed by the students. IDP Sector 34, Chandigarh sponsored the refreshments for the students. Girls dressed in traditional attire participated in Miss Basant competition.

The winners were declared under various categories, Miss Basant title was bagged by Tanvi of M.Com I, Sumandeep of BA II was adjudjed Miss Patola and Miss Mutiyar title went to Jasleen of M.Com I.
