Mahenderhgarh, 17.04.25-The ten-day Intensive Research Methodology Course for Social Science Research, a collaborative initiative between the Department of Psychology at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahenderhgarh and the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, concluded today with a valedictory session celebrating academic excellence and scholarly exchange. The workshop brought together aspiring researchers from across the country for an enriching academic experience designed to deepen their understanding of social science research methods. Throughout the course, participants engaged in a rigorous curriculum combining theoretical insights with hands-on research training, equipping them with essential tools to carry out high-quality and impactful research.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of CUH, emphasized the importance of such academic initiatives in nurturing a culture of research excellence. “Courses like these empower young scholars by providing a structured platform to learn, unlearn, and grow. The valedictory session was graced by Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University as the Chief Guest. In his address, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma highlighted the long-standing tradition of research in Indian civilization, citing compelling examples of systematic inquiry found in ancient epics and scriptures. “Social research is not a modern invention. Our heritage reflects deep engagement with empirical questions, logical reasoning, and philosophical thought. It is vital we link our present pursuits with our rich intellectual past,” he remarked.

The course's academic direction was led by Dr. Vishnu Narayan Kucheria, Course Director, whose thoughtfully curated modules ensured a comprehensive blend of conceptual clarity and practical skills. Prof. Payal Kanwar Chandel, the course co-director, assisted in the seamless execution of the program.
