CHANDIGARH, 18.04.25-Gurukul Global School conducted a Disaster Management Mock Drill to educate students on emergency response and familiarize them with designated escape routes in case of any unforeseen situation. The objective was to instill awareness, prompt action, and ensure safety preparedness among students and staff.
Principal Mrs Urvashi Kakkar urged everyone to remain alert and proactive during times of disaster to ensure their safety.
At the sound of the emergency alarm, students from all classes, guided by their teachers, swiftly and calmly exited the school building using the designated evacuation routes. They assembled in the school’s assembly ground in a safe and orderly manner, demonstrating discipline and alertness.
Following the drill, a special session was conducted by local Police authorities. Students were briefed on the importance of disaster preparedness, the correct way to respond during emergencies, and the significance of staying calm and following instructions.
The mock drill, along with the informative session, proved to be a valuable learning experience, reinforcing the importance of safety, awareness, and community cooperation in times of crisis.
