Mahendergarh, 19.03.24-A Seven-day workshop on “Methods of Plant Abiotic stress and analysis” was organized by Department of Biochemistry in Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University has inaugurated the workshop, encouraged the aspiring participants and researchers, and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Biochemistry. Dr. Rohit Joshi, Scientist, Institute of Himalayan Bio-resource Technology (IHBT), as a guest speaker delivered his talk on "Plant stress physiology-Concepts and approaches from lab to land” about generating new stress tolerant rice variety, and had an interacted with the participants.
Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Dean, SIAS, and Research have given the inaugural lecture on “Emerging technologies for sustainable agriculture under changing scenario of abiotic stress”. Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya, Head, Department of Biochemistry highlighted the achievements of the Department and briefed about the workshop. Dr. Saurabh Saxena, the Chairperson has received funding from DST-SERB -Accelerate Vigyan Karyashala scheme to conduct this workshop. Dr. Mulaka Maruthi (Organizing Secretary), Prof. Antresh Kumar, Dr. Neelam are the organizing committee. Dr. Ravi and Participants from different institutes have attended the workshop.
