Chandigarh, 15 June 2025:BJP Chandigarh President Jitendra Pal Malhotra today visited the local market area in Maloya Colony, where he interacted with shopkeepers and residents to understand their pressing concerns. Citizens raised issues including waterlogging during rains, lack of proper drainage infrastructure, and administrative notices being served to local shopkeepers.

Malhotra immediately contacted concerned officials and urged swift action. He assured the people that the drainage issues will be addressed soon, and that he will hold talks with the administration regarding the notices, to ensure that small traders are not harassed unnecessarily.

“Listening to the people and solving their real issues is our top priority. The BJP believes in staying connected with the ground and standing with the common man,” said Malhotra.

He was accompanied by BJP leaders including Sanjeev Rana, Sunny Puri, District Vice President Sanjay Tank, District General Secretary Rajkumar Rana, Mandal President Amit Mishra, Udiraj Yadav, Bhola Singh, former District President Ravi Rawat, and several other party karyakartas.

Local shopkeepers and residents expressed their gratitude to the BJP team and appreciated the prompt attention to their problems. They expressed hope that solutions would soon be implemented on the ground.
