CHANDIGARH, 13.10.25-PGIMER Chandigarh is partaking and conscientiously participating in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India initiative ‘The CPR Awareness Week, being held from 13th- 17th October, 2025. Under this initiative, at the outset a pledge was taken by healthcare providers in the institute to raise awareness regarding importance of timely cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in saving lives as well as to learn, practice correct techniques of CPR.
The knowledge and expertise about CPR helps to understand individuals in a health emergency to provide assistance with courage, compassion, and responsibly until professional medical help arrives as well as to become aware of CPR and its life-saving. Also, a Basic Life Support (BLS) training workshop cum training program is being organised by institute under National Emergency Life Support (NELS) initiative by GOI to provide comprehensive training to healthcare providers and other non-clinical staff pertaining to wide range of Adult and Paediatric Basic Life Support techniques so as participants acquire the most current evidence-based competencies required for effective emergency response.
