MAHENDERGARH,11.11.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FOCALYT, a Skill Tech brand of Focal Skill Development Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, to foster collaboration in emerging technologies and innovation-driven learning.
The MoU was formally signed by the Registrar, Central University of Haryana, in the presence of Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CUH, who emphasized the growing significance of industrial collaboration with academia in equipping students with the skills needed for the future workforce.
Under this MoU, FOCALYT and CUH will jointly design and execute hackathons and competitions focused on emerging technologies. These initiatives aim to encourage structured participation, critical problem-solving, and innovation among students. FOCALYT has also committed to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all information and data exchanged under the scope of this MoU, using it solely for the agreed academic and developmental purposes.
From FOCALYT, Mr. Himanshu Sharma, Manager, represented the organization during the signing ceremony. The MoU was initiated by the Training and Placement Cell of the University under the leadership of Dr. Divya, Director, Training and Placement Cell. Dr. Suyash , Dr. Suraj and Dr. Sushil Kumar were also present on the occasion.
FOCALYT is already successfully running the Samsung Innovation Campus Program in collaboration with CUH since September 2025. Under this initiative, 118 students from B.Tech. Computer Science Engineering and B.Tech. Electrical Engineering applied for the program, out of which 68 students have been declared eligible for the course.
This partnership marks another significant step by the Central University of Haryana towards bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, fostering a culture of innovation, skill development, and experiential learning.
