CHANDIGARH POLICE BRIEF OF CASES DATED 14.03.26-
Theft
A case FIR No. 37 u/s 305(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Iqbal Ahmad R/o EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh. He alleged that an unknown person stole one silver chain, four pairs of silver anklets, two gold rings and two mobile phones from his house on 07-03-2026 at about 2:00 AM. No arrest has been made so far.
Obstruction of Public Way Case
A case FIR No. 36 u/s 285 BNS has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra, Chandigarh against Karam Singh R/o Pabhat, Zirakpur (Punjab), age 45 years. The accused had allegedly installed a rehri and was selling toys and teddy bears on the roadside, thereby obstructing the public way in Motor Market, Mani Majra, Chandigarh. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
Accident
A case FIR No. 45 u/s 281, 125(A) and 106 BNS has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anuj Singh R/o Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon (Punjab). He alleged that Tejveer Godara R/o Ward No. 08, Saliwala Tibbi, Hanumangarh (Rajasthan), driver of Thar No. RJ-31CC-8841, hit his relative Harbhajan Singh R/o Village Pure Basti Lahenga, District Amethi (UP), age 22 years, who was riding Splendor motorcycle No. UP-33CL-7864 near Sector-25/38 light point on 13-03-2026 at about 1:06 AM. The victim sustained injuries and was taken to GH-16, where the doctor declared him brought dead. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
