One person arrested in retains stolen property

Chandigarh Police arrested Laxman Munda R/o # 1317, Phase 3B2, Mohali (Punjab) from back side Burail jail near Sector-50/51 light point on 31-03-2026 along with white Colour Activa no. PB-12-S-4452, which was stolen from Sector-40 Chandigarh. A Case FIR No. 24 U/S 317(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 49 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Two persons arrested in House-trespass

A case FIR No. 39 U/S 333, 115(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 39 Chandigarh on the complaint of Devraj Singh Khanna R/o # 408, Ph-1, Mohali (Punjab) against Shekhar, Aditya and others who misbehaved with complainant’s mother and also assaulted with his father near booth no. 258, Sector 37-C, Chandigarh on 30-03-2026. During the investigation, the accused namely Shekhar R/o # 324/2, Sector-45, Chandigarh and Aditya R/o # 918, Sector-77, Mohali (Punjab) were arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cyber Crime Cheating

A case FIR No. 49 U/S 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Cyber Crime Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjay Walia R/o # 2549, Sector-35/C, Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated with complainant Rs 12,71,693/- unauthorized transaction through credit card. Investigation of this case is in progress.
