One arrested under NDPS Case
A case FIR No. 42 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra, Chandigarh. He reported that Talib R/o #244/3, Gali No. 4, Shanti Nagar, Mani Majra (age 28 years) was apprehended near kacha rasta in front of Govt Model School, Pocket No. 8, Mani Majra on 02-04-2026 at about 3:35 PM, and 8.47 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and is in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 53 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mohd. Iliyas R/o Sector-52, Chandigarh. He reported that Amandeep Singh R/o Village Amstgarh, District Mohali (PB), driver of bus No. CH-01TB-4952, hit pedestrian Sahid Khan (41 years) near Verka Milk Booth, ISBT-43 on 30-03-2026 at about 6:25 AM. The injured was admitted to GMCH-32. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Assault
A case FIR No. 46 u/s 121(1), 132, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Nanda Ballabh R/o Maintenance Office #1454/G, Sector-39/C, Chandigarh (age 50 years). He reported that three persons came to the maintenance office and threw a chair at him on 24-03-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
A case FIR No. 52 u/s 304(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rakesh Kumar R/o Sector-45, Chandigarh. He reported that two unknown persons on a motorcycle snatched his bag containing Rs 3,000, credit card, debit card, PAN card and voter card near Piccadilly Chowk, Sector-34 side on 02-04-2026 and fled. Theft
A case FIR No. 43 u/s 305, 331(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Naveen Kumar R/o Sector-41/B, Chandigarh. He reported that an unknown person broke open the lock of his house and stole a laptop and one silver kara between 25-03-2026 and 31-03-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 44 u/s 305, 331(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Neeraj Saroha R/o Sector-41/B, Chandigarh. He reported that an unknown person broke open the lock of his house and stole a Sony LED and Rs 10,000 cash between 21-03-2026 and 29-03-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
