Nabha( Patiala) Chandigarh , April 14: On the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, tributes were paid to him across the country. In Nabha as well, various events were organized at different locations to commemorate his remarkable legacy.

Floral tributes were offered at Babasaheb’s statue located at Patiala Gate. On the occasion, Paramjit Singh Kainth, State Vice President, BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha, Punjab, expressed deep respect for Dr. Ambedkar’s life and his unparalleled contribution to social reform.

He stated that Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings remain highly relevant today and continue to guide society in addressing modern challenges. He emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar was not only the chief architect of the Indian Constitution but also a visionary social reformer, economist, and legal scholar who dedicated his life to the upliftment of the marginalized and oppressed sections of society.

Kainth further said that Babasaheb promoted education, organization, and struggle as the three key pillars of empowerment and consistently raised his voice for the rights of the poor and underprivileged.

He informed that there is a plan to construct “Babasaheb Ambedkar Labour Chowk” near Mehas Sanctuary, which will help address the issues faced by daily wage workers.
He also urged people to adopt Babasaheb’s ideals and work collectively towards building a society based on equality, justice, and fraternity.
