Chandigarh, May 10:- A vibrant and emotionally enriching Mother’s Day celebration was organized today at Sanskar Kendra, Sector 15 under the aegis of the Arvind Mehta Memorial Trust, where Chandigarh Mayor Sh. Saurabh Joshi attended as the Chief Guest.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, children and families of Sector 15, who came together to celebrate the spirit of motherhood through colourful cultural performances, dance presentations and heartfelt poetry recitations dedicated to mothers. The programme created an atmosphere filled with warmth, gratitude and joy, reflecting the importance of mothers in nurturing families and society.
Addressing the gathering, Mayor Saurabh Joshi lauded the efforts of the Arvind Mehta Memorial Trust for consistently organizing meaningful social and cultural initiatives that strengthen community bonding and preserve family values. He also paid tribute to the late social contributors Late Usha Mehta and Late Arvind Mehta, remembering their dedicated service towards society and community welfare.
The Mayor emphasized that mothers play an irreplaceable role in shaping the character, values and future of every individual. He said that mothers are the strongest pillar of every family and deserve utmost love, respect and care for their lifelong sacrifices and unconditional support.
He further encouraged citizens to continue promoting compassion, cultural traditions and strong family values through such community-driven programmes, which help create a more connected and harmonious society.
