Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjay @ Nanu R/o # 440/C EWS Dhanas Chandigarh from near Gaushala Ind. Area Ph-1 Chandigarh on 13-05-2026 and recovered one kamanidar knife from his possession. A case FIR No. 48 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Industrial area Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One person arrested in NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Manoj @ Manoji R/o # 606 Ground Floor Sector-38/A Chandigarh from Park Shanshi Mohalla Near Stepping Stone School Sec 38/A Chandigarh on 13-05-2026 and recovered 15 gram heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No. 77 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-39 Chandigarh.

One person arrested in Gambling Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Lady R/o # Sector- 56 Chandigarh from back side sports complex Sector-56, Chandigarh on 13-05-2026 while playing Dara/Satta and recovered 2110/- from her possession. A Case FIR No.78 U/S 13(A)-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-39 Chandigarh later on accused bailed out . Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested in Excise Act

Chandigarh Police arrested lady R/o # Sector- 56 Chandigarh from back side sports complex Sector-56, Chandigarh on 13-05-2026 and recovered 48 nips of Sokin Santra from her possession. A Case FIR No. 79 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-39 Chandigarh Later on the accused is bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Threatening / It Act.

A Case FIR No. 41 U/S 351(4), 66(F) It Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-03 Chandigarh on the complaint of Anoop Kumar, Senior Director It O/O Punjab & Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh against unknown person who sent g-mail on govt. mail at Punjab & Haryana Civil Secretariat Sector-3 to blow up the building on 13-05-2026. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Murder

A case FIR No. 49 U/S 103(1), 3(5) Bns has been registered in Police Station Industrial area Chandigarh on the complaint of Dhiraj R/o # 290/1 Forest Department Village Daria Chandigarh against Rahul, Kapil & Others They attack on Complainant’s Brother Namely Suraj with knives at 18 Fit Gali Village- Daria, Chandigarh on 12-05-2026. Who got injured were taken to hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating

A Case FIR No. 71 U/S 316(2), 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-36 Chandigarh on the complaint of Aman Sharma R/o # 49 Sunny Enclave Kharar (Punjab) against , David Arora, Gurdeep Singh, other C/O Express Entry Immigration Sector-35, Chandigarh. They cheated the complainant with Rs 12,00,000/- regarding visa. Investigation of this case is in progress.
