Chandigarh, August 24:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Sector 13, Manimajra, following several complaints regarding unauthorised car repair and mechanical activities being carried out on parking spaces and MC land.

During the drive, the enforcement team took strict action against violators and impounded six cars found involved in unauthorised repair activities. Various items being used for such operations, including jacks, tool patti, car-door cabinets, old tyres, welding machines and tool kits, were also impounded.

A total of 43 challans were issued during the drive for violations of municipal regulations. The action was carried out peacefully and forms part of the Corporation’s ongoing efforts to prevent encroachments, protect public parking spaces and ensure that municipal land is not misused for unauthorised commercial activities.
