Chandigarh, September 12, 2026: The Chandigarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board organised a registration-cum-awareness camp at Dhanas today to inform construction workers about various welfare schemes and facilitate their registration with the Board.

During the camp, workers were informed about the financial assistance, healthcare benefits and social security schemes available to registered beneficiaries. Officials explained the eligibility criteria, registration procedure and documents required to avail these benefits.

Specialised teams guided the workers through the enrolment process and addressed their queries regarding various welfare schemes. On-the-spot registration facilities were also provided at the venue.

Around 150 people visited the camp during the day, with several workers initiating their registration process.

The Board reiterated its commitment to reaching out to construction workers across the Union Territory and ensuring that all eligible workers receive the welfare benefits and social security support available to them.
