Press Statement by Sh J J Singh
Sh J J Singh of VOICE OF HOUSING SOCIETIES – RWA 48 COMBINE announced a significant success for leasehold society residents. After persistent follow-up since 2019, the wrongly applied 1.2 factor on conversion charges has been withdrawn following the Chief Secretary’s meeting. Conversion charges for A Category flats have dropped from ₹14.96 lakhs to ₹10.89 lakhs, with similar major reductions for B and C categories. Additional savings on GST and stamp duty are expected once Estate Office recommendations of 3 June 2025 are approved. He thanked the Hon’ble Governor Sh Gulab Chand Kataria and concerned officers for their support, and said the organisation will continue pursuing remaining issues so maximum relief reaches all eligible residents.
