CHANDIGARH, JUNE 16: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Banwari Lal Purohit extended his good wishes and greetings to the people, especially the Muslim brethren, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), a festival observed in commemoration of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim, for his un-flinching devotion to Allah.

In a message, the Governor said that Eid-ul-Zuha is a symbol of sacrifice, selflessness and an occasion to express our gratitude. It is also an occasion for families and communities to come together to share joy and blessings.

Let us all on this holy day resolve to shed our ego and arrogance and practice the path of prayer, kindness and generosity, said the Governor and added that may this Eid bring peace, prosperity and happiness to all.
