Bathinda, October 30– In a proud moment for Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, eight outstanding students from the B.Sc. Hons Agriculture 7th semester have been selected for an esteemed 45-day internship with Food Machinery Corporation (FMC), a leading American Agricultural Sciences company.

The selected students namely Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, Mr. Amandeep, Mr. Jai suraj Singh, Mr. Jatin Kumar, Mr. Kunal Singla, Ms. Khushjinder, Mr. Vasudev and Ms. Gagandeep Kaur will each receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000 throughout the program.

This remarkable initiative was led by Dr. Wineet Chawla, Academic Incharge at the School of Agriculture Sciences and Engineering, who facilitated the partnership with FMC. The internship aims to provide students with invaluable hands-on experience, directly aligning with MRSPTU’s commitment to blending academic learning with practical exposure in the field of agricultural sciences.

Assistant Professor Dr. Kanwaljit Singh and Senior Technician Rajinder Singh Smagh encouraged the students to leverage this opportunity for their academic and professional advancement. They underscored the program's potential to deepen the students' practical knowledge and skills.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kansal extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students, highlighting the critical role of such industry partnerships in nurturing the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Prof. Jasvir Singh Tiwana, Head of the School of Agriculture Sciences and Engineering, also commended the students on their selection and lauded the school’s proactive efforts in forging this significant collaboration.
