MAHENDERGARH, 09.03.25-Annual Cultural Fest ‘Spandan-2025’ has commenced on March 9 at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. The event was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, who graced the occasion as the chief patron. The inauguration was also attended by distinguished guests including Mr. Manish Rao from RPS Group of Institutions and former Director of Haryana Kala Parishad, Mr. Anil Kaushik. The event was further dignified by the presence of Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar, and Prof. Sanjiv Kumar, Dean Academics of the University.
The two-day cultural festival began on Saturday evening with a special cultural program, which was attended by Mamta Yadav, Member of the Haryana Public Service Commission, and MLA, Mahendergarh Mr. Kanwar Singh Yadav. The students gave spectacular cultural performances, showcasing India's rich and diverse cultural heritage. On Sunday, Spandan 2025 was formally inaugurated with vibrant celebrations. During the inaugural session, Mr. Manish Rao called upon the youth to embrace discipline, self-confidence, and excellence as the key to success. He encouraged the students to give their best and emphasized that failure is a part of the learning process.
Mr. Anil Kaushik, while sharing his experiences, highlighted the important role of youth in the development of humanity and society. He also spoke about the university’s reflection of a "Mini Bharat," emphasizing how CUH is embodying the concept of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.'
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, welcomed the guests and stated that such events provide students with opportunities for holistic development beyond academics. He emphasized that success cannot be measured solely by earning a degree; it is achieved when students can showcase their potential in various domains. Events like Spandan offer students valuable experience-based learning opportunities. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar also motivated the youth to progress with self-confidence and contribute towards the development of their country, society, and themselves.
Before the inaugural session, Prof. Anand Sharma, Dean Student Welfare, outlined the schedule of the event, revealing that teams from ten different universities of Haryana and the Delhi NCR region are participating. The opening session featured mesmerizing performances, including musical yoga, cultural dances, and folk dances from Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Renu Yadav, Deputy Dean Student Welfare. The festival has been a collaborative effort involving faculty members, committee members, students, researchers, and volunteers, including Dr. Neeraj Karan Singh and Dr. Mulaka Maruti, who played a vital role in its success.
