PM to visit Yamunanagar to give major development projects to the people of Haryana – Krishan Lal Panwar

Chandigarh, April 10 – Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14 on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. On this occasion, the people of the state will receive development projects worth crores of rupees.

Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, this programme will be made historic and memorable. He appealed to the public to gather in large numbers in Yamunanagar for the event.

Speaking at a meeting at the Circuit House in Kurukshetra today, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW thermal power unit in Yamunanagar and will inaugurate a new airport and lay the foundation stone for a terminal in Hisar.

He further said that electricity is the biggest need of the present time. The thermal unit in Yamunanagar will be constructed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). He said these projects will become milestones in Haryana’s development. It will cost around Rs. 7,272 crore and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

ECI’s extensive grassroot training programme gathers steam

Training for 217 BLOs from West Bengal along with 2 DEOs, 12 EROs commences at IIIDEM

One-Day Orientation Programme for Media and Social Media Nodal Officers and District PROs concludes

Chandigarh, April 10 - A two-Day National Training Programme comprising 2 DEOs, 12 EROs and 217 BLOs from West Bengal commenced at India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM), New Delhi today. This initiative forms part of the broader training plan for the capacity augmentation of grassroot election functionaries as envisaged by the Commission during the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO’s) Conference held at IIIDEM on March 4.

ECI also concluded a one-day Orientation Programme for Media Nodal Officers, Social Media Nodal Officers, and District Public Relations Officers at the IIIDEM. The orientation was aimed at enhancing coordination and preparedness of election officials in an evolving media landscape.

Media Officers from 28 States and 8 UTs participated in the orientation programme which aims to develop an effective communication strategy to ensure proactive information dissemination, counter misinformation, and promote voter awareness through various media platforms, in accordance with the legal framework i.e. the RP Act 1950 & 1951; Registration of Elector Rules 1960, Conduct of Election Rules 1961 and the instructions issued by ECI from time to time.

In his address, Chief Election Commissioner Sh Gyanesh Kumar while acknowledging the pivotal role of media as a key stakeholder in the electoral process, emphasized the importance of factual, timely and transparent communication in upholding the trust of voters in the electoral processes in a digitally mediated information world. He underlined that media officers must be proactive in communicating accurate information and rise to the challenge of ensuring that voters are correctly informed and empowered to discern facts from narratives without factual basis.

Chandigarh, April 10- Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to Government of Haryana, Health Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal Constituted the State Task Force (STF). The members of State Task Force includes Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Director General Health Services (DGHS) Haryana, Director General Women and Child Development, Director General AYUSH, Director of Pre Conception and Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC&PNDT), Health Department, State Drug Controller and Police Department. Dr. Virender Yadav, Director, NHM, is the convenor of STF. STF conducts reviews and field visits every Tuesday.

Dr. Virender Yadav while sharing information said, “STF is strictly implementing the PC&PNDT Act in the state, as result registrations of 300 out of 1500 Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) centres in Haryana have been cancelled or voluntarily withdrawn. Notices have been issued to 23 MTP Centres this week, explaining the reasons for their closure. First Information Reports (FIR) have been filed against 17 online MTP kit sellers in the past two months. Additionally, 23 PNDT raids have been conducted in the last three months, and these centres have been closed. Further, Nodal Officer, PNDT of district Hisar has been suspended and show cause notices have been issued to Senior Medical Officer (SMO) in-charges of 12 Community Health Centres (CHC) Nahar in district Rewari, Tosham in district Bhiwani, Danoda in district Jind, Kunjpura in district Karnal, Tauru in ditrict Nuh, Tigaonin district Faridabad, Bhattu Kalan in district Fatehabad, Ateli in district Mahendergarh, Ukalana in district Hisar, Badopal in district Fatehabad, Nissing in district Karnal and Ladwa in district Kurukshetra with low sex ratio and they will be charge sheeted if their reply is found unsatisfactory. The SMO in-charges of 03 CHCs with lowest sex ratio to be charge sheeted. Further, PNDT Nodal Officers of 05 districts Charkhi Dadri, Rewari, Rohtak, Gurugram and Faridabad with lowest sex ratio in the state have been changed with immediate effect. Civil Surgeon, Hissar is preparing to lodge criminal case and FIR against the tout Ms Usha involved in illegal abortion. Civil Surgeon, Rohtak and Sonipat has registered FIR in Ms Pooja case who is having 2 live girl children, who was forced to for abortion. Civil surgeon is retro-tracking the case and enquiring the family and the treating doctor”.

Dr. Virender Yadav further said, “Additional Chief Secretary, Health directed that all MTP Centres doing MTP of the pregnant women with two live girl children should be inspected and monitored regularly and if found indulged in female feticide should be closed and decision on the show cause notices issued to MTP Centres should be taken immediately and licenses of gynaecologists involved in female feticide should be cancelled. State Drug Controller was directed to get the list of MTP Kit whole sellers / stockist in the state and the sale of these kits should be restricted to registered MTP Centers only. ACS, Health Further directed that all non-registered IVF Centers should be closed and IVF Centers with skewed sex ratio should be checked thoroughly and closed if found indulged in malpractice”.

Dr. Virender Yadav further said, “All the wards (area) in urban will be allocated to ASHAs & ANMs of the concerned Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHC) / Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandir (UAAM) for the data collection to record male & female child births which will be facilitate in improving sex ratio. Health Department has identified 62,000 pregnant women with 01 or more than 01 live female child and these pregnant women are being informed via helpline number 104 of health department that female feticide is sin. Further it has been proposed that ASHA will be linked with the pregnant women having more than 2 live female children and incentive of Rs 1000 to be given to concerned ASHA by Haryana for successful delivery of female child”.

Furthermore, all departments, such as the WCD Department and Panchayati Raj etc, are spreading the message to the public to save and educate daughters. Haryana's sex ratio has improved from 910 to 911 as of today.

Haryana Sports Minister, Sh. Gaurav Gautam flagged off the Cyclothon yatra and conveyed his best wishes. People from across Palwal district participated enthusiastically and took a collective pledge of 'Hum Sabka Sanjha Sapna-Nasha Mukt Ho Haryana Apna' to support the cause.

Speaking at the event, Sports Minister, Sh. Gaurav Gautam encouraged the youth of Haryana to play an active role in eradicating social evils like drug addiction. He said that a drug-free India is essential for realising Prime Minister, Sh.Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. Cyclothon Yatra, which is running through every district of Haryana, is spreading the message of drug-free Haryana.

Earlier on the day, the Cyclothon reached Palwal from Sub-divison Hodal. MLA, Sh. Harinder Singh, SDM, Hodal Ms. Belina, and other dignitaries flagged off the rally from Hodal. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar Vashishtha cycled along with the Cyclothon from village Bheem Sika and reached Maharana Pratap Chowk in Palwal, continuing to lead the journey on bicycle.

Public Works Minister lays foundation stone for drainage development works worth Rs. 38.60 Lakh

Chandigarh, April 10 – Haryana Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, laid the foundation stone for drainage development projects worth Rs.38.60. The project aims to improve rainwater drainage in Sector 1, 4, 3 and 5 of Hisar and MGA area by Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran.

Sh. Gangwa said that the Haryana government is giving priority to the development of infrastructure in the state. This project will not only make life easier for the residents but will also benefit the environment.He said that modern and proper rainwater drainage systems will be ensured in these areas under the project. These efforts will help solve the problem of waterlogging and will strengthen the city’s infrastructure.

He said that the state government is committed to the overall development of Haryana. The focus is on providing essential public services like roads, drinking water, education, health, and electricity from villages to cities. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Chandigarh, April 10 – The Central Government has once again acknowledged the commendable efforts of the Haryana Government in Aadhaar enrolment as the State has been conferred with the prestigious award for “Best Performing State in Aadhaar Enrolment of Children” at the Aadhaar Samvaad event organized by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in New Delhi.

The award was presented by UIDAI during a ceremony graced by the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Sh Ashwini Vaishnaw.

On behalf of Haryana, the award was received by Sh Rahul Narwal, Special Secretary, Information Technology, in the presence of the CEO, UIDAI, and other distinguished dignitaries.

During the event, the Haryana delegation shared key insights and best practices adopted by the State to efficiently manage the Aadhaar ecosystem. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana has undertaken several innovative initiatives, including the in-house development of AUA/KUA systems, Aadhaar Data Vault, and a unique integrated solution involving Patwaris and Tehsildars for adult Aadhaar enrolment. Chandigarh, April 10-The Principal Secretary to the Government of Haryana, Labour Department, today conducted an interactive training session at the Haryana New Civil Secretariat for departmental officials and consultants, aimed at strengthening administrative capabilities in drafting notings, official orders, and complaint resolutions.

The primary objective of the session was to enhance clarity, conciseness, and a functional approach in government documentation. Through real-world case studies and interactive discussions, participants explored best practices in administrative communication, focusing on simplifying complex information without compromising the intent. The training placed special emphasis on the importance of logical structure, active voice, and accurate grammar in both Hindi and English.

The Principal Secretary, to Govt of Haryana , Labour Department motivated the attendees to work with integrity, purpose, and a commitment to greater productivity and efficiency and highlighted the value of simplifying language to improve understanding and actionability.

Participants were encouraged to eliminate ambiguity, avoid unnecessary references, and adopt a direct, sensitive tone—especially when addressing public grievances. The responsible use of AI tools was also recommended for improving language, paraphrasing, and maintaining precision.

This session marked a step toward institutionalizing a more efficient and responsive administrative framework, equipping officials and consultants with the tools and mindset needed for clear, purpose-driven governance.

Health Minister Arti Singh Rao inspects proposed site for 200-bed hospital

Chandigarh, April 10 – Haryana Health Minister Kumari Arti Singh Rao visited Rewari district to inspect the land being identified for building a proposed 200-bed hospital. She personally visited the proposed sites in Shahbajpur Khalsa and Bariawas villages, and held detailed discussions with officers to understand all aspects related to the land.

The Health Minister said that both the central and state governments are committed to providing quality healthcare to the people. Efforts are being made across the state to improve and expand health services so that people can access affordable, reliable, and quality treatment under one roof. The site for this hospital is being chosen in a way that it can benefit the maximum number of people. Once the final site is selected, a report will be sent to the government, and construction work will begin within the set timeline, she added.

Kumari Arti Singh Rao said that this hospital will not only benefit the residents of Rewari but also people from nearby areas. It will be an important step in strengthening health services in the region.

District Development and Panchayat Officer, Sh. Narender Sarwan and other officers also remained present during the inspection.
