MAHENDERGARH, 04.09.24-CUH faculty member selected for a prestigious Award for Teaching Excellence in Higher Education Institutions-2024
Dr. Anita Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Nutrition Biology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has been selected for a prestigious national award for teaching excellence in Higher Education Institutions-2024. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated Dr. Anita Kumari for her outstanding contributions towards teaching, impactful research, project-based learning, and dedication to student guidance. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sushma Yadav; Registrar, Prof. Suneel Kumar; Dean Research, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma; Dean, SIAS, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Head of the Department, Prof. Kanti Prakash Sharma, also congratulated her for the award.
The Central University of Rajasthan has introduced this award to recognize teachers who have demonstrated excellence and innovativeness in teaching in HEIs across India and have significantly contributed to the growth of their Institute and the society at large. The prestigious national award will be given by His Excellency Governor of Rajasthan – Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde on Teachers' Day (5th September, 2024) at Central University of Rajasthan. The award includes a cash prize of Rs. 25000/-, Shawl, a Citation, and a Memento. Dr. Anita Kumari expressed her gratitude to Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar (Vice-Chancellor), CUH for providing the research and other academic facilities which has enabled her to receive this award.
Dr. Kumari also thanked her faculty collaborators Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Prof. Surender Singh; Dr. Ashwani Kumar for their active involvement and cooperation. She has also given credit to her research team of Ph.D. students and Project Associate namely Sarita, Deepika, Debolina Chakhi and Surbhi Panwar for putting their sincere efforts towards quality research. Dr. Anita Kumari also thanked various funding agencies to support her research on “Hypovitaminosis D” and “Diabetes”, both of which are widespread and have significant impacts on public health.
