CM MESMERISES AUDIENCE BY RECITING REVOLUTIONARY POEM OF SANT RAM UDAASI AT YOUTH FESTIVAL IN HOSHIARPUR

*ASSERTS THAT THAT THE YOUTH FESTIVALS ACT AS A PLATFORM FOR GROOMING THE OVERALL PERSONALITY OF THE YOUTH
Hoshiarpur, November 14:Recalling his days in college festivals, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday mesmerised the audience by reciting the poem “Maghda Rahin Ve Surja Kammian De Vehre” penned by noted Punjabi poet Sant Ram Udaasi from the stage.
“This revolutionary poem is very close to my heart as we used to recite it in various competitions during our college days and today I have revisited my college days”, said the Chief Minister before reciting the poem, with his old associate and artist Karamjit Singh Anmol, from the stage while addressing the gathering during youth festival at DAV College here.
The Chief Minister, who recited the poem from the stage for two minutes, in a first of its kind act kept the audience spellbound with his enthralling performance. Complete pin drop silence was observed during the performance by Bhagwant Singh Mann on this momentous occasion. However the students, teachers and others present on the occasion gave a huge round of applause to the Chief Minister for his rare feet.
Meanwhile, addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the youth festivals act as a platform for grooming the overall personality of the youth. He said that these youth festivals have helped him to excel in life as an artist and now as a politician. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the youth must use these platforms for their comprehensive growth and development adding that it can play an important role in their success.
Recalling his college days, the Chief Minister said that he had performed in various youth festivals and won trophies for college during such festivals. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that winning was his only passion and he always had a positive mindset of winning. He exhorted the youth to stay grounded and believe in hard work as it is the sole key to success adding that the youth should set their target and make all out efforts for achieving it.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is leaving no stone unturned for the well being of the youth. He said that on one hand unprecedented steps have been taken to provide jobs to the youth and on the other several endeavors have been made to channelise their unbounded energy in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these initiatives will be continued in the coming days too for which the state government has already prepared a blueprint.
The Chief Minister asserted that every effort is being made to give wings to the ideas of youth and no stone is being left unturned for this noble cause. Bhagwant Singh Mann made a fervent appeal to youth to make all out efforts for carving an identity of their own to make a place in society adding that sky's the limit for them. He urged the youth not to feel proud of their victory but to stay humble and work hard for more success.
The Chief Minister said that a determined and focused approach should be the hallmark of every youth’s personality for excelling in life. He said that confidence and a positive approach should be basic traits of everyone’s personality but there should be no pride in it. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is the key to success for scripting the success in every field adding that this should be implemented in right earnest.
Exhorting the youth to play a proactive role and support the state government to make Punjab a frontrunner state across the globe, the Chief Minister said that the youth of the state have been blessed with unbounded energy and talent that had always acted as a catalyst in ringing positive change in the society. He said that the time has come when the youth must contribute positively in socio-economic development of the state and the society. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government is committed for the well being and progress of the state adding that no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause.

CM GREETS PEOPLE ON PARKASH PURAB OF SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI
Chandigarh, November 14:Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday felicitated the Punjabis living in country and abroad on the auspicious occasion of Parkash purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
In his message on the eve of Parkash purab, the Chief Minister said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji was a great spiritual ambassador who guided the humanity to attain salvation by spreading the cult of devotion to God and the eternal message of love, compassion and spirituality amongst the mankind. He said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji envisioned a casteless society free from rituals, thereby redeeming the suffering humanity from the pangs of agony. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji motivated the humanity with new ideas, aims, aspirations and called upon it to dispense with the maladies of hypocrisy, falsehood, pretensions and caste-prejudices.
The Chief Minister said that teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji are still relevant today especially in the present complex and materialistic society. He appealed the people to imbibe the spirit of service and humility as preached by the Great Guru and strive hard for carving out a peaceful, prosperous and healthy society by following the precious legacy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. Bhagwant Singh Mann urged people to celebrate this sacred occasion with utmost devotion and dedication rising above the parochial considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion.
