Ludhiana 25 November 2024-The 13th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana started with knowledge sharing and fine arts events. Dr. Ajmer Singh Dhatt, Director Research, Punjab Agricultural University inaugurated the off stage phase of the youth festival. Dr VK Dumka, Comptroller, Dr. LD Singla, Director Human Resource Management Centre and Dr. Opinder Singh, Controller of Examinations were guests of honor in the different competition sessions.

Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor extended his best wishes to all the participants. He said that participation of every student in extracurricular activities is beneficial for holistic development of their personality.

Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director Students' Welfare said that youth festivals are a suitable medium of internal expression of students. University is extending good facilities to students to improve their talent. Participants were also in high spirits.

Dr. A.P.S. Brar Organizing Secretary of the festival said that in the first day competitions, there were four events: Photography, Quiz, Poster Making and Cartooning. The topic of Poster Making was ‘Age of Social Meida’ . The Subject for the Photography competition was ‘Fall Colours', for Cartooning, the topic was ‘Big Fat Wedding’.

College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar in these events. Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Jt. Org. Sec. said that On the Spot Painting (09.00 a.m.), Collage making (12.00 noon) will be held on 26^th November 2024 at Examination Hall of College of Veterinary Science whereas Elocution and Poetry competitions at Silver Jubilee auditorium at 03.00 p.m.
