Ludhiana-27-November, 2024-Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Rangoli Making, Clay Modeling and Installation competitions during the ongoing youth festival.
Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director Students’ welfare said that the youth festival refreshes the minds of youngsters and provides an opportunity to them to showcase their talent. In all the competitions, students from College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy and Food Science Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Science College, Rampura Phul, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar participated.
Sh. Vikas Kumar, IRS, Principal Commissioner GST was guest of honor of the event. He said that these types of competitions give nostalgic feelings and refresh the old memories of youthfulness. He motivated students to inculcate the ability of artistic skills for a happy life.
Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor witnessed all the art creations of the students created during this competition. He said that although our students are from science backgrounds even then their extramural abilities are as good as pupils of arts disciplines. Smt. Pawanjeet Kaur Gill, better half of Dr. Gill also visited with him and appreciated the artistic capacities of the students. Deans and Directors of university also witnessed and encouraged the participants.
Dr. A.P.S. Brar, organizing Secretary of the festival said that the topic for Rangoli Making was ‘Greh Parvesh’ and for Clay Modeling it was ‘Mother and Child’.
Dr Nidhi Sharma, Welfare Officer informed that on 28-11-2024, Creative Writing (09:00 a.m.) and Extempore in first session at 10:30 a.m. while Debate Competition in second session will be held at 02:00 p.m. at Silver Jubilee Auditorium.
