Chandigarh Police arrested Dev Kumar @ Atta R/o # 1070 Hallo Majra Chandigarh age-19 years from Aara ground Hallo Majra Chandigarh and recovered one Kamanidar knife from his possession. A Case FIR No 15 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Rohit Taak R/o # 230/B Small flat Dhanas, Chandigarh age-27 yrs while he was consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place near Moni Service Station Dhanas Chandigarh on 14-01-2025. In this regard, a case FIR No. 07, U/S 68-1(B) PP Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later, they were released on bail. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested in theft Case

A Case FIR No. 06 U/S 305,317(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 19 Chandigarh on the complainant of Vijay Kumar R/o # 2910 Sector 20 Chandigarh against Roshan R/o # 356 Khuda Lahora Chandigarh who stolen the lid of the gutter and 02 frams of iron from in front of the complainant house. During the investigation accused has been arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Damaged Property

A Case FIR No. 14 U/S 326(f),324(2),3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh on the complainant of Karan Singh R/o #2016 phase 02 Ramdarbar Chandigarh against Hariom@ Rotal, Nikhil, Shivam and anil, complainant red Mahindra xylo (CH01AC-1291) was parked outside. He witnessed Hariom breaking the car windshield with a stick, while Nikhil poured petrol on the car and set it on fire. Shivam and Anil continued damaging the car with bricks and stones. The complainant raised an alarm shouting fire causing the accused to flee. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 13 U/S 420,465,471 IPC has been registered in Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh on the complainant of Gurpreet Singh against Harnek Singh and others for committing offence of cheating and forgery, Investigation of this case is in progress.

Accident

A Case FIR No. 05 U/S 281,125(A) BNS has been registered in Police Station Ind./Area Chandigarh on the complainant of Sanjampreet Singh R/o # 1450/05 Sector 29 Chandigarh against unknown motorcyclist hit to complainant uncle Munir Ahmed R/o # 1027 Sector 29/B Chandigarh crossed the road and started going towards Sector 29/B park. Due to this complainant uncle got injured. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 07 U/S 106(1), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station-11, Chandigarh on the statement of ASI Salinder Singh, he stated that on 31.12.2024 at around 5:10 pm, information was received regarding patient kartik R/o # 2441 Sec-24 Chd age-24 yrs has been admitted brought dead at GH-16 Chd. During the investigation Tarandeep Singh disclosed that on 30/31.12.2024, they have organized a party at 2nd floor, House No. 2441, Sec-24 Chandigarh. After the party, they found that Kartik is lying on the floor and they took him on the bed. But when Kartik could not awaken then they brought him to GH-16, Chandigarh where the duty doctor declared him brought dead. However, the roommates of deceased Taranpreet, Minkel and Karan have conducted negligence and also not informed about the incident to police or not called ambulance for first aid. Due to their negligence, kartik has died. The inquest proceedings u/s 194 BNSS was initiated.

Rajiv Kumar, SHO/PS-31 along with police party achieved a major achievement by arresting accused namely Dev Kumar @ Atta S/o Sonu Gupta R/o H. No. 1070, Hallomajra, Chandiarh age 19 years. One Knife (Kamanidar) has been recovered from his possession during personal search of accused. On this, a case FIR No. 15, dated 14.01.2025 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act PS-31, Chandigarh has been registered.

Brief fact of case
On dated 14.01.2025 HC Daulat Ram No. 137/CP along with police party was on patrolling duty near CRPF Wall Hallomajra. An secret information was received from informer that a person namely Dev Kumar @ Atta is roaming in open ground opposite Aara along with knife (Kamanidar). On this information, HC Daulat Ram along with informer reached at the spot where informer alluded toward a person and said that this is the same person whose name is Dev Kumar @ Atta. HC Daulat Ram apprehended that person with the help of other police officials who disclosed his name Dev Kumar @ Atta S/o Sonu Gupta R/o H. No. 1070, Hallomajra, Chandiarh age 19 years. On the personal search of Dev Kumar @ Atta, a knife (Kamanidar) was recovered from his possession which was taken into police possession through seizure memo and accused Dev Kumar @ Atta S/o Sonu Gupta R/o H. No. 1070, Hallomajra, Chandiarh age 19 years has been arrested.
