Two arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Vikash R/o # 09 Village Hallo Majra Chandigarh age-30 years and recovered 126 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near power grid Hallo Majra Chandigarh on 29.01.2025. A Case FIR No 29 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-31 Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj Kumar R/o # 2331/C Block 30 Sector 63 Chandigarh age-46 years and recovered 142 quarters of country made liquor from his possession, near CRPF Camp Hallo Majra Chandigarh on 29.01.2025. A Case FIR No 30 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A Case FIR No 08 U/S 305(A), 331(4) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-49 Chandigarh on the complaint of one lady R/o # Sector-63 Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away one DSLR Camera, Diamond pendent, 2 Gold chain, 4 Diamond ring, 1 Gold ring and some silver earrings from complainant house in between dated 24.01.2025 to 29.01.2025. Investigation of this case is in progress.
