CHANDIGARH, 30.01.25-Tashan-e-Basant was celebrated with full spirit at Dev Samaj College for Women Sec 45-B Chandigarh on 30th January 2025. The college campus adorned a festive look and resonated with the colours of Basant.
Prof. Vipin Koushal Medical Superintendent & Head Department for Hospital Administration, Nodal Officer ROTTO (North), PGIMER, Chandigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof (Dr) Agnese Dhillon, Secretary DSCW-45and Shri Maanvinder Singh Mangat, Joint Secretary DSCW 45 was the guest of honour. Prof Koushal praised and acknowledged the dedication of the staff and students in preserving and celebrating their traditions and culture. Prof (Dr) Agnese Dhillon, congratulated students for putting up a great show and encouraged them to preserve their values. Principal, Prof (Dr) Neeru Malik motivated them to participate enthusiastically in such events as it develops their overall personality.
The college encourages and gives the students a platform to hone their skills. Various stalls of food, accessories, games and art were put up and managed by the students. The highlight of the day was the kite flying activity where children from adopted village Burail also participated and enjoyed the celebrations. Girls dressed in traditional attire participated in Miss Basant competition. The winners were declared under various categories, Miss Basant title was bagged by Simran Kaur of B.Com- I, Cherry of BCA-I was adjudged as First Runners-up and Second Runners-up title went to Sahilpreet B.Com- I.
