MAHENDERGARH, 10 .02.25-The AAVRITI Physics Association of the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh under the esteemed leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, successfully hosted its highly anticipated annual Sports Carnival, AAVEG 2025, on February 7th and 8th. The event brought together students and faculty for two days of exhilarating indoor and outdoor competitions, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork.

Prof. Suneel Kumar Registrar of CUH encouraged the students and motivated them to take part in physical activities. Prof. Sunita Srivastava emphasized the importance of sports in daily life, stating that along with academics, students should actively participate in sports to maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve both their physical and mental well-being.
The indoor segment, held on February 7th at the department, saw enthusiastic participation in intellectually stimulating games such as Chess, Rubik’s Cube challenge, and Carom. On February 8th, the outdoor games commenced at the University sports complex in the esteemed presence of Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Head of the Department, Dr. Meenu Thakur, President, AAVRITI Physics Association and other faculty members Dr. Ankush Vij, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Ramandeep Kumar, and Dr. Priya Rani.
The competitions featured a diverse range of events, including Long Jump, Shot Put, Volleyball, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, and Tug of War, where participants demonstrated outstanding athleticism and teamwork. Alongside the competitive sports, several fun games such as Sac Race, 3-Legged Race, and Lemon Spoon Race were conducted, adding an element of enjoyment for participants.
The department organizes various sports competitions annually, where outstanding performers are rewarded. The event received an overwhelmingly positive response from participants and match officials from the Physical Education Department, who hailed AAVEG 2025 as one of the finest events organized at the University. Vikram, Dhritiman, Vivekananda, Salonee (Sports Committee Convener), along with other dedicated volunteers, contributed significantly to the successful organization of AAVEG 2025, ensuring a well-coordinated and memorable event. Mr. Dhritiman, Secretary of AAVRITI, extended his appreciation to the association members for their dedication in making the event a grand success.
