Chandigarh, February 12 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today paid tribute to Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas on the occasion of his birth anniversary in New Delhi. The Chief Minister offered a floral tribute to the portrait of Guru Ravidas ji at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi.
While wishing the people of the state on the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas ji, the Chief Minister said the message of unity, humanity and brotherhood given by Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas ji Maharaj is still relevant today. He said we should always work by following the path shown by saints and great men.
He said the government has started Sant-Mahapurush Samman and Vichar Prachar-Prasar Yojana in Haryana, under which an initiative has been taken to celebrate the birth anniversaries and centenaries of saints and great men at government level. In this series, birth anniversaries and centenaries of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti, Sant Kabirdas Jayanti, Lord Valmiki Jayanti etc. have been celebrated at the state level.
Citing the verses of Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, the Chief Minister said the work of realizing his words was done by former CM Sh. Manohar Lal in the last 9 and a half years. During the tenure of Sh. Manohar Lal, the benefits of government schemes reached the poorest of the poor. A memorial of Guru Ravidas ji is being built in Kurukshetra, he said.

Chandigarh, February 12 - Haryana's Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said education is important to give the right direction to society. A student should participate in cultural activities from time to time along with getting academic education, which will help him in gaining confidence.
The minister was speaking as the chief guest in the 38th AIU Inter University North West Zone Youth Festival program being held at Om Sterling Global University located near village Juglan in Hisar today. 23 universities of the North-West region are participating in the youth festival.
During the program, he said education is very important for society. It is very important for a student to concentrate on his goal for success. He called upon the students to develop their talent not only in the field of art but also in other fields. He said through such a big platform, artist students of one state get a chance to know about the culture of other states.

Chandigarh, February 12 - Haryana's Public Health Engineering Minister Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said we should follow the teachings of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas ji Maharaj. While giving the message of humanity, he had said that a stature of a person is not decided by birth, but by his deeds. We should lead the way for the welfare of society by following the holy teachings of Guru Ravidas.
The minister was speaking as the chief guest in the 648th Prakat Diwas program of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas ji Maharaj in Barwala (Hisar) today. At the program organized at Guru Ravidas hostel, he announced to give Rs 21 lakh to Ravidas Sabha for construction work in the hostel and Rs 11 lakh for renovation of Ravidas Chaupal. He also talked about naming a chowk in Barwala after Guru Ravidas.
In his address, he said Guru Ravidas had given the message of social welfare and we should move forward by following his teachings. He said Guru Ravidas had given the message that there should be no discrimination of any kind against anyone. He envisioned a society in which there is no ostentation. While teaching the lesson of humanity, he always said that everyone should be respected. Guru Ravidas was a great social reformer and was the messenger of peace, love and brotherhood. His life is a unique example of sacrifice and penance. He considered service to humanity as service to God.
Sh. Gangwa appealed to the people to educate their children. He said the BJP government is working by keeping every section in mind. The youth who work hard have got the reward due to the transparency policies of this government. The government has done the work of giving employment to youth without ‘kharch-parchi’ on the basis of their ability, he added.

HC sets aside order to impose Rs 10 lakh costs on Haryana Staff Selection Commission
Chandigarh, February 12 - Hearing an LPA filed by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), a Division Bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court has changed the decision of the Single Bench of the High Court, showing a positive attitude towards the Commission. While hearing the petition filed in relation to CWP 22346 of 2021, the Division Bench of the High Court has decided to abolish the cost of Rs 10 lakh imposed by the High Court.
A spokesperson on behalf of the Commission said in the year 2021, a petitioner named Rahul of DDESM category had filed CWP 23346, on which the Hon'ble High Court, while giving its decision on September 13, 2024, had decided to impose a cost of Rs 10 lakh on the Commission and to consider the petition of the petitioner. Against this decision of the Hon'ble High Court, LPA 130 was filed by the Commission in 2025 and on January 29, 2025, the Hon'ble High Court, changing the decision of the Single Bench, decided to abolish the cost of Rs 10 lakh imposed on the Commission.
The spokesperson said the Haryana Staff Selection Commission is constantly making efforts to provide jobs to the youth of the state with transparency. In such a situation, if any human error remains, then the first objective of the commission is to work on it positively and ensure employment to every eligible youth as per his rights.

Chandigarh, February 12 – The Union Jal Shakti Minister, Sh. C.R. Patil while addressing a press conference here today said that dedicated measures are being taken to improve groundwater levels in Haryana’s dark zone blocks. He said that the central government is committed to implementing effective water conservation and recharge measures in coordination with the Haryana government.
He shared that there are around 150 districts across the country where several blocks have been classified as dark zones due to depleting groundwater levels. Haryana is also included in this list. The Jal Shakti Ministry aims to bring Haryana’s blocks out of the dark zone category. To achieve this, efforts must be made to conserve rainwater, and this can only be successful with public participation, informed Sh. C.R. Patil.
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages, and Culture Department, Sh. K.M. Pandurang and Media Secretary, Sh. Praveen Atrey also remained present on the occasion.
The Union Jal Shakti Minister said that in the Union Budget 2024, Haryana has been allocated approximately Rs. 76,000 crore for development projects. Additionally, around Rs. 78,000 crore has been received as grants, enabling Haryana to progress rapidly. While, under the previous government before 2014, Haryana received only Rs. 19,000 crore in the central budget and Rs. 21,000 crore as grants.

The Union Minister shared that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, 13.8 lakh farmers in Haryana are receiving direct benefits. Nationwide, over 9.58 crore farmers are benefiting from this scheme. Additionally, Rs. 3,416 crore has been allocated in the railway budget to strengthen Haryana’s rail infrastructure. Work is in progress on 14 new projects covering a total length of 1,195 km. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, 34 railway stations in Haryana are being upgraded with a budget of Rs. 1,149 crore, said Sh. C.R. Patil.

This step will increase people's purchasing power, boosting demand for products in the market, which in turn will benefit the industrial sector, said C.R. Patil.
Prime Minister envisages to make India the world’s third-largest economy
The Union Minister said that in 2014, India's economy ranked 11th in the world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, continuous progress over the past 10 years has positioned India as the fifth-largest economy globally. In this third term, the Prime Minister's vision is to make India the third-largest economy, and continuous efforts are being made to achieve this goal, said Sh. C.R. Patil.
Sh. C.R. Patil said that the budget emphasizes the rural and agricultural sectors. Special focus will be given to 100 low-productivity districts, encouraging the cultivation of pulses like toor and masoor. The agricultural loan limit has been increased from Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh. Additionally, a provision of Rs. 20,000 crore has been made in the budget for startups.
He further shared that the budget sets a target of establishing 50,000 Atal Tinkering Laboratories in government schools over the next five years. All government secondary schools and primary health centers in rural areas will be connected to broadband. The budget also includes a plan to set up day-care cancer centers in all district hospitals, with 200 centers to be established this year itself. The Jal Shakti Ministry has been allocated Rs. 67,000 crore for the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Will work together with new government of Delhi to clean Yamuna: Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil
Chandigarh, February 12 - Union Jal Shakti Minister Sh. CR Patil along with Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana addressed a press conference here today, in which they highlighted the decisions taken by the Central Government for the welfare of people in the Union Budget presented recently by Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
Responding to questions from mediapersons, Sh. Patil said the SYL issue between Punjab and Haryana is currently in the Supreme Court and all efforts are being made to resolve the issue amicably. He said the issue should be resolved through continuous dialogue between stakeholders. Sometimes such disputes occur between states and he assured that the issue will be resolved soon.
On the issue of allegations of Delhi getting poisonous water through the Yamuna river, the Union Minister said I have been drinking Delhi water for the last 16 years and I am alive. The water of Yamuna river is getting polluted due to garbage, dirty sewage and industrial waste generated in Delhi and Haryana has no role in this. After the formation of a new government in Delhi, Yamuna will be cleaned in the coming time and work will be done rapidly in this regard and we will work together to clean the Yamuna river.
The Union Minister said the Opposition has always criticized the Budget, but in our government, employment opportunities are being provided to the youth. A WHO report says that due to Jal Jeevan Mission, 5.5 crore hours of women have been saved and 3 lakh children's lives have also been saved after getting clean water from the tap. Under this scheme, 25 lakh women have been given kits and training to check the purity of water coming to their village. Employment opportunities are also being created in other sectors.
In response to another question, the Union Minister said every effort is being made to bring awareness among the people to stop wastage of water. Structures will be set up in villages and blocks for water conservation. Wastage of water has to be stopped. On the issue of release of water to Delhi, the minister said at present, 925 MCM water is being supplied to Delhi against the demand of 700 MCM. Hence, sufficient water is supplied to Delhi by Haryana, the minister added.

Government committed to make education system employment-oriented: Mahipal Dhanda
Chandigarh, February 12 - Haryana Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda took stock of various development works in Kathura village of Baroda Assembly constituency of Sonipat and inaugurated a grand building and library built by the Narwal khap.
The Education Minister appreciated this initiative and directed to further improve the facilities of the library.
The minister directed the officials to remove the shortcomings in the library as soon as possible. Along with this, he expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of the village school and assured that the necessary facilities would be provided soon. He asked to send the estimate for the reconstruction and improvement works of the school so that development work can be completed soon.
On the effective implementation of National Education Policy-2020, the Education Minister said the policy is being implemented rapidly in Haryana and it will be fully effective by 2025. He said the education system should be made employment oriented so that students can get practical knowledge and they can become self-reliant while studying.
On the importance of education, he said the government is committed to making the education system more effective and employment-oriented. Regarding the civic elections, the Education Minister claimed that the BJP is entering the electoral fray with full preparation and the party is in a strong position.

The Development and Panchayat Minister today reached at the program organized on the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas ji in Kavi village of Israna (Panipat) Assembly. After reaching here, he offered floral tributes to the statue of Guru Ravidas ji and congratulated the people of the state.
He said there should not be any discrimination in society. All parents should educate their children and make them cultured, only then the society will move forward. Every poor person should be helped in getting educated, this will be a true tribute to Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas ji.
Guru Ravidas ji talked about giving respect to poor and weak
Sh. Panwar said even hundreds of years ago, Guru Ravidas ji put forward the view of giving respect to the poor, helpless, weak, Dalit and women in front of the society. His verses will remain relevant for centuries. He had imagined a state where no one remains hungry and everyone gets food to eat. Following these principles, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Saini is working for the welfare of the people. He said when the Haryana Government celebrates the birth anniversary of saints, the young generation gets inspiration. He said the Chief Minister is also working on the path shown by Guru Ravidas ji.
Message of equality and compassion will inspire countrymen for ages
Sh. Panwar said 648 years ago, Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas took incarnation on the Earth, and worked to bind the society together through his words and couplets. Today, his birth anniversary is being celebrated with reverence all over the world. He participated enthusiastically in the Bhakti movement and made the society aware against the evils prevalent in the society at that time. The messages of equality, goodwill and compassion given by Guru Ravidas ji will inspire the countrymen for ages.
Sh. Panwar said Guru Ravidas ji touched every aspect of society through his verses, and his ‘vaani’ is still relevant today. His vaani proved that “Man changa to kathauti mein Ganga” i.e. if the mind is pure and clean, then the work done at any place will be pure. Internal purity is more important than external show.
