CHANDIGARH, 12.02.25-Today, a press conference was held at the BJP office in Sector 33, Chandigarh, by Shri Rakesh Bhalla, Convener of the Union Budget Cell, on the occasion of the visit of Shri C.R. Patil Ji, Union Minister of Jal Shakti and President of BJP Gujarat.

Shri Sanjay Tandon Ji, National Executive Member of BJP, warmly welcomed the Union Minister on behalf of BJP Chandigarh. Shri C.R. Patil Ji was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Mayor Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla. On this occasion, Shri Patil Ji congratulated Smt. Babla on her recent election victory and extended his best wishes for her tenure as Mayor.

During the press conference, Shri C.R. Patil Ji highlighted several key points:
1. Agriculture:
The Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector through advanced irrigation projects and efficient water management systems under the Jal Shakti Ministry. He assured that these initiatives would significantly benefit farmers by improving crop yields and water accessibility.
2. MSME Sector:
Shri Patil Ji underscored the vital role of the MSME sector in driving the nation’s economic growth. He outlined plans for enhanced financial support, simplified regulatory processes, and the promotion of technological advancements to empower small and medium enterprises, particularly in regions like Chandigarh.
Avi Bhasin, Co-Convener of the Union Budget Cell, stated, “This budget is highly beneficial for the MSME sector and will help propel small and medium industries to new heights.”
3. Education:
Focusing on education, Shri Patil Ji spoke about the government’s initiatives to upgrade educational infrastructure and expand access to quality education. He highlighted the National Education Policy’s focus on skill development and vocational training to better prepare the youth for the evolving job market.
4. Income Tax Slabs:
Addressing public expectations from the upcoming Union Budget, the Minister discussed potential revisions in income tax slabs aimed at providing relief to the middle class.
Shri Rakesh Bhalla elaborated on the broader fiscal measures under consideration to stimulate economic growth and improve citizens’ standard of living.
